Read this in a seerah book and thought it was spectacular:

    'Arif Rumi Rahimahullahu Ta'ala says:

"The soul is nothing but Nur (luminescence) whilst the physical body is composed of colors and smells. Abandon the colors and smells and talk about the soul only.

Colors undergo drastic transformation but the soul remains purified; it remains pure of varying hues and pure of turning to dust.

Everything in this world - with all its perspectives and directions - is a creation of Allah Ta'ala but regard the realm of 'Amr and Sifat (divine commandments and attributes) as without any direction.

O man! If you regard the realm of 'Amr as directionless then surely the 'Amir (the commander i.e. Allah Ta'ala) will be moreso directionless.

My soul, like the divine attributes is mysteriously concealed. Whatever example I offer to illustrate this is inconsequential."
Hearts are predisposed to love someone who does them good and to detest someone who does them harm.

    - Shah Waliyyullah ad-Dihlawi's Arba'in

Akhi a2z please use English and always give translation of the poetry used.
To use local lingua is serious disrespect to general reader.
Our Akabireen made huge sacrifices to preserve and protect the Deen of Allah (SWT) and it will be a loss if we fail to communicate it to the world by not using the language the world understands.

May Allah (SWT) reward you my dear for taking my words in the spirit in which these were uttered.

Now refraining from posting Urdu wisdom on SF also does not serve the purpose. The objective is the opposite - to make the treasure available in Urdu to the wider audience. As Syed Qutb Shaheed asserts in The Milestones that we do not much to offer the west by way of worldly prosperity but we do have something much more precious than that and that is Islam.

And then your English is not bad at all. You know enough and places like SF are ideal to polish English by practice. Please make use of that.

I;ll give you personal example - during my graduation I wrote a popular level science article for our college magazine. Soon after the print was available I was horrified to discover absolutely horrendous English usage on my part. Even now I am mostly embarrassed with my language. But what about the audience? Well that is a different matter. The best complement was paid by a class mate during PG about above mentioned article. He said that it did not look like as if you had written that! The hint was that I had flicked the article from some where - the usual practice about the articles in college magazines.

The moral is that go ahead and do your bit - you do not know how badly it is needed. We usually under estimate the worth of our own efforts.

This is the poetry of famous poet Jigar moradabadi after repenting:

#Let us go and see the drama of Jigar
    heard, that KAFIR became muslim.#

Here jigar sahab telling us that life without fear of Allah(SWT),sunnah, and without salaat, is similar to life of kufr.
And also from one of hadees we know that the only thing that differentiate us from kufr is salat.

    This is love:
To fly towards a secret sky.
To cause a hundred veils to fall each moment.
First to let go of life.
Finally, to take a step without feet...

    Hazat Moulana Jalaluddin Rumi (Rah)

PS: jazaakAllahu khaira bro syamuj for the kind words
