What are your thaughts on loonwatch.com?

I think its a great website for the most part. It was made in response to Robert Spencer's ridiculous JihadWatch.

"The mooslims! They're heeere!"
Hahahaha, that was funny. I didn't get to go too deep into the site, but the front page pretty much tells it all, right? They bring news stories of killers and post another story "if he (the killer) was a Muslim." and what the story would say instead. Those were fun to read since it's true!
But who made the site? Muslims?

Salam Alaykum,
It is a good site in that it has some funny takes on anti-Islamic rhetoric, but unfortunately it is run mostly or wholly by non-Muslims, so they should not be consulted too seriously when it comes to Islamic legal issues.

Assalamualaykum, as far as I disagree with most Spencer's argument I have to say loonwatch.com is not an authentic and recommended website to Muslims. I stayed away from such website just after a week ago.
It's a site that gathers news articles about Muslims and responds to islamophobes; I have not seen them issue fatwa or talk about theology, etc.
Can you explain why it's a site Muslims should avoid? It defends Muslims, lol. What's so bad about that? There is a lot of misinformation and propaganda that they respond to and refute

I've browsed that website for months, and didn't come across anything that warrants Muslims to avoid it and warn others about it. It does take articles written by nonmuslims and compile it on its website. If that's what you are talking about, then by that reasoning, all Muslims should avoid reading news and articles ...

You can read whatever news and articles you like, same goes to me. But honestly for me both JihadWatch and LoonWatch are no different. Besides that, I rarely reading articles and news because I choose to make my own research rather to rely heavily on articles and news like those on Loonwatch. I don't force anyone to stop reading articles and news btw. This is just my opinion.
