sometimes when i read Allama Iqbal's poetry, i feel that my soul is flying in heavens. some of his poetry seems ilahmi to me. i believe his persian poetry is more amazing than his urdu poetry. but most people don't read his persian poetry.
whoever reads his poetry knows that he prefers ishq over aqal.
ilm gives you aqal. he compares ilm and ishq as
aqal is just a mere noor which can show you the path but can not take you to your destiny.
ishq takes you there where aqal can not reach. ishq gives your soul a rocket to reach your destiny.
Ishq-e-Mushtafa (SAW) is the most refined form of ishq. his entire poetry is the reflection of his love towards prophet Muhammad ( Sallaho Alehe Wasalm). the most emphasis in his poetry is on Ishq-e-Mustafa (SAW). he urges everyone to develop ishq-e-Mustafa (SAW) in their hearts.
with Ishq-e-Mustafa (SAW) in your heart, you can be the master of the world around and within you. you can unlock the secrets of 'Khudi'. what is Khudi? "He who knows himself knows Allah."
