The three-day 63rd International Tablighi Ijtema (Islamic Congregation) concluded here at Eitkheri today with a grand 'Dua' (prayer) for the well-being of the community, prosperity of the nation and peace and harmony across the world.
The 'Dua' was delivered by Maulana Zubair-ul-Hasan (Hazratji) of Nizamuddin Markaz, New Delhi, who prayed particularly for those suffering from various diseases and asked devotees to follow the path shown by Prophet Mohammad.
During the Ijtema, world famous Islamic scholars like Maulana Saad-ul-Hasan, Maulana Ahmad Laat, Mualana Mustaqeem, Maulana Ismail and others delivered sermons on the life and practice of Prophet Mohammad and Islamic Shariat (law).
They urged devotees to improve their lifestyle adopting the path shown by Prophet Mohammad and Islamic Shariat which provides total life style.
Like previous years, more than 350 mass marriages (nikah) were also solemnised during the Ijtema by Maulana Zubair-ul-Hasan, (Hazrat Ji).
Around 10 lakh people, including about 20,000 jamaats (groups) from all over the country and 300 delegates from more than 20 countries, including Thailand, Cambodia, Afghanistan, England, Australia, Russia, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia, UAE, Iran, Canada, America, Sri Lanka and China participated in the Ijtema, the third biggest annual Islamic congregation after Haj pilgrimage and a meeting in Bangladesh, the organiser said.
Organising committee member Atiqul Islam and Ausaf Shahmiri Khurram lauded the facilities like water, medical, electricity and security provided by the Madhya Pradesh government during the Ijtema and added that the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had himself visited the site to supervise these facilities.
They said that huge tents were erected in the area of hundreds of acres of land at Eintkheri and about five hundred hotels were booked for the jamaats of India and abroad.
The Indian Railways had also opened reservation counter and arranged extra bogeys in various trains from 27 to 29 December for the Jamaats, at the Ijtema site medical camps and fire brigade have also been established to meet any emergency there.
Police made special security arrangements for providing safety and security to the Ijtema participants and SAF, RAF and GRP and other companies of armed forces were deployed at the Ijtema site, Railway Station and enroute to Ijtema to ensure peace and security.
For security purposes, several watch towers, CCTV Cameras were also erected at various locations at the venue to ensure basic facilities and amenities for the participants.
