Ilm wo Noor hai jise Haasil karne ke baad baghair amal kiye chain na aaye..
Agar ye hai to ilm hai varna maloomat hai......Aur maloomat ki qayamat ke din pakad hai..
Ke jitna hasil kiya uspe kitna amal kiya

Barakum Allahu Feekum,
This information is greatly appreciated.
As for the mp3 idea, it's excellent. I will be sure to get all of the chapters.
I want to begin soon and just needed structure to my life and I must become more organized.
Any books or tips for manners etc? I'm sure this goes along with it.

Assalamou 'alaikoum,
One of the most efficient thing when learning the Qur'an is contancy: you fix yourself a number of aayat/lines to learn every day for example and you learn them every day no matter what. Benefits resulting from constancy are peerless and from my own experience, learning a fixed number of lines every day is way more efficient than learning erratically.
Wallahu 'alam.
I appreciate the advice dear brother. Surely, I am grateful.

Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
You could try www.QuranTracker.com to track what you have learnt, your revision and to monitor your progress ayah-by-aah or surah-by-surah. Its free to register, I've found it great for myself and the kids alhamdulillah! It uses a colour coded system to track your Hifdh. has links to audio etc. Hope this helps inshaAllah.

I had heard it from my elders that if you want to learn the Quran i.e. Hifdh you follow few things, some of them that i remember are
1. Using miswak on daily basis.
2. Protection of eyes from all those sins that can happen through them.
3. Protrction of tounge from wastefull talks.
4. Protection of private parts.
By following these things the capability of hifdh will improve for sure and one thing that is important that we have to work hard.
How are you brothers doing with hifz? Inshallah very well. Anyone wants to use msn or skype to practice Arabic and/or reciting the Quran?
As for memorization, I have found links to the way which involves writing the page and reciting it a certain number of times. For example, reading the page 100x after writing it and so on. I will try the method with the permission of Allah.
