    Assalaamu Alaikum Wr Wb,

Quran - Use 15 line Quran (very beneficial)
Time - memorize after Fajr or Magrib
Memorize daily One page or upto your capacity, but it should be Perfect.

Say there are 6 verses in the page, then
    1st verse - 20 times
    2nd verse - 20 times
    1st & 2nd verse - 5 times

    3rd verse - 20 times
    1st,2nd,3rd verse - 5 times

    4th verse - 20 times
    1st,2nd,3rd,4th verse - 5 times

    5th verse - 20 times
    1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th verse - 5 times

    6th verse - 20 times
    1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th verse - 5 times

If you memorize in this way You will never forgets

    - Try to memorize the verse number as well as page number
    - Recite it daily to learned Hafiz regularly to avoid mistakes.

    Barakum Allahu Feekum,
    This information is greatly appreciated.
As for the mp3 idea, it's excellent. I will be sure to get all of the chapters.
I want to begin soon and just needed structure to my life and I must become more organized.
Any books or tips for manners etc? I'm sure this goes along with it.

    Assalamou 'alaikoum,

One of the most efficient thing when learning the Qur'an is contancy: you fix yourself a number of aayat/lines to learn every day for example and you learn them every day no matter what. Benefits resulting from constancy are peerless and from my own experience, learning a fixed number of lines every day is way more efficient than learning erratically.

    Wallahu 'alam.

You could try www.QuranTracker.com to track what you have learnt, your revision and to monitor your progress ayah-by-aah or surah-by-surah. Its free to register, I've found it great for myself and the kids alhamdulillah! It uses a colour coded system to track your Hifdh. has links to audio etc. Hope this helps inshaAllah.

I had heard it from my elders that if you want to learn the Quran i.e. Hifdh you follow few things, some of them that i remember are
    1. Using miswak on daily basis.
    2. Protection of eyes from all those sins that can happen through them.
    3. Protrction of tounge from wastefull talks.
    4. Protection of private parts.
By following these things the capability of hifdh will improve for sure and one thing that is important that we have to work hard.

How are you brothers doing with hifz? Inshallah very well. Anyone wants to use msn or skype to practice Arabic and/or reciting the Quran?

As for memorization, I have found links to the way which involves writing the page and reciting it a certain number of times. For example, reading the page 100x after writing it and so on. I will try the method with the permission of Allah.
