    Default Yasir Arafat Remembrance

I was just remembering him. This scene of helicopters and his body taken by supporters still is in my mind. He died in Ramazan

Arafat didn't lead the palestinian cause, he just banked the $billions aid recieved by International community as his Swiss accounts show after his death.Unfortunately he didn't enjoy those billions with his multiple young foreign wives.

What i am wondering is how much of those Billions found in Arafat's Swiss account was given by Israel.

lots of non muslims die in Ramadan as well. even a dictator like saddam had a more dignified burial than mr arafat. i hardly call the scenes witnessed there honourable. all you see is chaos and a baying mob literally foaming at the mouth. if they got hold of the corpse i'm pretty sure they'd have ripped it to shreds. they literally threw his body into the pit. did anyone place his head towards Ka'bah? judging by the haste whith which they carried out the actual burial i doubt it. horrible way to go.

i don't know what his station is in front of Allah but i do know that the death and funeral of someone says a lot about how they lived.

Allah SWT have mercy on me first and foremost in MY death and every mo'min.

He was a secularist who didnt rule by what Allah (swt) has revealed.

to this day, the french havent revealed what exactly he died of.

this is a islamic forum, we dont mourn secular nationalist rulers.

well AIDS was mentioned along with liver cirrhosis (this isn't always down to alcohol abuse) due to the sudden and drastic loss of weight (nasty rumours?) but Allah knows best the man's station.

Why are you criticizing the guy for after this death? What if he had done good? Who was there to help him? He seemed besieged for the past 3 years of his life anyway... The saudis and Emiratis didnt help him

Yup, speak ill of Yassir Arafat when he's dead but try to find ways to make a Sunni out of "Quaid e Azam".

    Interesting.

    السلام عليكم,

Really, this is completely inappropriate and unIslamic to speak this way about a dead Muslim. May Allah forgive him and grant him and all of us janna-tul-firdaus.

I feel sorry for people who just read "some stories" on internet or "some part of his life" and come to conclusions.

Yasir Arafat is one of the courageous man whom I believe Allah ta'ala has been protecting till end. He has escaped from not one, two or three but more than 20's of killing attacks. The incidents will sound nothing but some like miracles. He is the person who sacrificed his thoughts for the safety of Palestinians Muslims.

Yes, every person has some defects. In today world good muslim ruler doesnt mean he should be like Omer A person like Yasir Arafat is much much better than those of saudi or pakistani leaders.
