    Default pronounciation of 'Allahu akbar"

    assalmu 'alaikum -

    1. I have read that if you mispronounce Allahu akbar takbir in salat, it invalidates salat, is this true? because it changes the meaning. If so, is it only if you do it intentionally? By mispronounce, I mean lengthen the initial A.

    2. I read Hanafis are supposed to stretch out the allahu akbar so it covers the position change(for example going from sajda to sitting position), is this true, or better to say it quickly then change position so there is no mispronounciation?

    jazakallah.

I don't have a clue about the second question but in the case of the first, it invalidates in the meaning drastically change. There is one major change can happen to the word "Allaahu Akbar" (Allah is [the] Greatest!) is when someone prolongs the first letter A such as "AAAAllaahu Akbar" and the meaning in this case becomes a question "Is Allah [the] Greatest?" rather than affirmation. So keep in this mind and try to avoid it in any case.

    1. Don't stretch the Akbaaaaaaaaaaar. Allaahu Akbar is the way to say it.

    2. When you are going from standing posture to sitting, u can say 'Allaahu Akbar' in the middle. Safest way, not at the very beginning nor at the very end.

It is Akbar with a Fatha on Alif not a kasra.

As the brother said, it should be a Fatha. However, Persians and Subcontinent people do not pronounce the Fatha properly, their Fatha is fatter (has a bit of tafkheem and roundness of the mouth). The Fatha should sound like Cat, Mat, Fat. So sometimes when subcontinent people hear a proper Fatha they might say that it is an E and not an A.

A kasra can really change the meaning. So that should be avoided. However, pronunciation is a science of Tajweed. So a proper teacher can tell us "how" things are pronounced.
