    Sadaqallahu wa sadaqar-rasoolu
The translation should be Allah spoke the truth, and the messenger spoke the truth because sadaqa is a fail mazi, past tense verb, so the translation
also has to be in past tense.

    The second sentence is correct.

Ahsanu: This is not a verb, its called isme tafzeel, its a noun adjective, it is used to compare two different things. It means "better"
LIke for example: aisha ajmalu min khadijah (Aisha is prettier than Khadijah)
Ismu Tafzeel are always on this wazan "af'alu", and they are gair munsarif.

An'am'ta: I dont know what pattern four is..I dont have the book, your most probably talking about af'alu
This is not on that pattern, its not a sulasi verb (sulasi verbs are verbs that have three original letters), it is fail mazeed
any verb that has more than three original letters is called fail mazeed. Its wazan is: af'ala (maazi) yuf'i3lu (muzaray)
So this is maazi, as in past tense and it is singular masculine second person, because the verb is an'ama, and the "taa" at the end is for second person.
    which means "you favoured"
