    Default Halal Cuisine-Recipes & Advice

    Asalam 3leikoum wr wb,

Insh'Allah I wanted to share some of my daily productions & hope that insh'Allah if you enjoy them you can make Duaa for my family and I. My website is CulinaryMuslim.Com & I welcome you all. For the Hanafis insh'Allah I can recommend some non crustaceans to substitute some of the shell fish you may see.

    Tuna Tataki
    Serves 4

    4 Tuna Steaks
    Black peppercorns,coarsely cracked
Sesame seeds (black and white if you can obtain them)

    Dipping Sauce
    1/2 cup Peanut oil
    1 ounce Sesame oil
    2 ounces Soy Sauce
    1/2 ounce grated garlic
    1/2 ounce grated Ginger
    5 spice powder to taste
    Brown sugar, to taste

    1. Roll tuna in cracked black pepper then sear in a very hot cast iron pan WITH OUT oil. Let cool slightly then slice thinly. Should be rare to med-rare. Serve with dipping sauce, and toss salad greens coated in sauce and pickled ginger.
    2. For the sauce: Combine all ing. well and drizzle on plate or side dish.

    ** Nasiha
Careful for those with peanut allergies
I recommend you freeze the Tuna you freeze it because this is almost a tatar or raw middle.
-4f or lower for atleast seven days (168 hours) in a freezer
    or
-31 or loweruntil frozen solid and then stored at -31 for at
    least 15 hours
    or
-31 or lower until frozen solid and then stored at -4f or lower for at least 24 hours.

Hot DRY pan when searing meat moisture is the enemy of searing. Take strips and start from corner of the pan and roll it every minute or so on each side. You can always finish the food in the oven if you so desire.

    Say Bismillah and Bs7aaah!

    Asalam 3leikoum wr wb,

Many Muslims and people of conscious that can't afford to buy animal proteins from ethical slaughterhouses choose to adhere to a vegitarian or pescotarian diet. This being the case I will add many Vegan and Lacto-Ovo vegan recipies and books here as well insh'Allah.

    Bon Appetit & Fiamanillah

Bouillabaisse de Morue (Classical French not to pretty but ya Salam tasty

Fry some onions and leeks in oil without allowing them to color. Add some white grape juice and
water. Add to this stock some concasse tomatoes, crushed garlic, thyme and bay leaf.
Season with salt, pepper and add saffron. Add some diced potatoes, celery. Add the salt
cod. Simmer and season. This dish may be finished with monter au beurre(chilled melted compound butter). Serve with
    French bread croutons.

    Things to note:

This is VERY rich classical French, not the healthiest meal but you know what they say "French women don't get fat".
Soak and drain the salt cod for 3 days. Before you make this dish add the cod to a pot and then add COLD water and bring to boil. After this is done you are ready to add it to your "stew".
Standard stewing procedures include COVERING the protein with flavorful liquid when stewing and COVERING the pot.
I recommend you rehydrate some safran on the grape juice/water liquid so you don't get yellow stains.
You want the stew to slow cook/simmer you DON'T want a boil or blazing flame under the stew.
When finished serve in a heated plate take fish out of pot ladle the potatoes and celery under the fish, lay the cod on top and whisk in the cold compound butter into the hot stew liquid and immediately ladle that over the fish. Use the same compound butter that you used in the stew as the seasoning for your croutons.
Liquid is the enemy of croutans (except in French Onion Soup) so serve them in a separate bowl.

Bon Appetit and May Allah Give You All Sa7ah

    Assalam O Alaikum Br. Yousef,

Recommending soy sauce in recipe is great responsibilty because there are two kinds one Halal and other is Haram. The ingredients of Haram soy sauce is wheat and soy. The Halal all purpose soy sauce ingredients are water, salt, hydrolyzed soy protein, corn syrup and sodium benzoate. La Choy All Purpose Soy sauce is a Halal Soy Sauce in US and Canada. Haram soy sauce called Naturally Brewed Soy sauce which is made like wine containing 2-3% alcohol in finished soy sauce. Our website www.muslimconsumergroup.com has explained both soy sauces under FAQ under services section.
