Default adhkar - subhanalla 10 times or 33 times?

    salaams -

is it ok to say subhallah alhumdulillah allahu akbar 10 - 10 - 10 times instead of 33-33-33 times?

also, i heard that you should say 34 times allahu akbar when yuo go to sleep and not after salat, after salat all 3 are read 33 times? is this true?

    Asalam Alykum Brother Mikail2.

Dear brother, our beloved Rasool SAW used to alternate between 33 times and 10 times. Sometimes he SAW used to recite it 10, 10, 10 and sometimes 33, 33, 33. You can recite the last as 34 as well. He used to count on his fingers as these fingers will justify on the day of judgement that we read supplications on them.

Also dear brother, once you asked a question sometime back whether the prayer could be broken if you are praying in a crowded place, to check if you are safe or to keep a check on your kids?

My Shaykh mentioned in his Fiqh class that its permissible to look right or left from the corner of the eyes to make sure the surrounding is safe or to check on your kids. Do not change the direction of the chest and head away from Qibla. If its "emergency", then you can break the prayer but if you are doubtless, then you shouldnt.

    JazakAllah

    Wasalam
