Default leaving from a different country for hajj?

    Salaamu'alaykum everyone.

I live in Australia and would like to perform Hajj this year - insha'Allah! However, I will - insha'Allah - be in Syria at the time of Hajj. I just wanted to know if anyone here knows how one (with only an Australian passport) will be able to go? I've heard that you have to go with a group from your country.

    JazakAllah kheir to all.

I am interested to know this answer as well, because my husband and I are of two different nationalities, and we don't live in either of our countries of births..

well, it depends on your country visa and embessy policy, but mostly you can go with groups, as well you can go individuallly, going with group is more fine.

I did last year when I went to Hajj and it was my first

Saudi Embassy would require you have a resident permit of that particular country beforehand.

If you have a visiting visa they are more likely to deny you a visa. It cost me alot but I managed to get through with Immigration then got my Hajj visa and Al Hamdullilah all went well and of course it was much cheaper than UK even though the Saudi's reserved the best facilities for developed nations...then others esp when we were at Minna
