Sorry can't do that because the biggest wahhabi and the biggest salafi was a non-deobandi hardcore hanafi called Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah who said on Istighatha ; Sorry Shaykh Abdul Fattah was not from the habaib, so disown him or dismiss him. Call him wahhabi and salafi and all the names possible because he was against shirki type of isthighatha so was Abdul Hayy lacknawi ( another big wahhabi ) and so were many hanafi scholars just like they were against hadra merry disco dancing... All of them are wahhabi and salafis.

The barelwis like abu hasan the moderator of barelwiport also made very disparaging comments about Shaykh Abdul Fattah few years ago.

here is what shaykh abdul fattah abu ghuddah says ( may Allah have mercy on him )

please note: shaykh abdul fattah also did not permit dancing ( aka hadra ) so i guess this should qualify him as the biggest wahhabi/salafi because he was prof. at a wahhabi/salafi university Imam Muhammad ibn Saud ( which mr. tj winters and his types think......)

    Salam,

hmmm...I don't quite get it, do you mean the Barellos consider anyone who disagrees with them a Salafi/Wahhabi/Nasibi?

i was under the impression that it was acceptable to say "ya rasolullah" if it was in poetry, literature, basically anything that did not involve asking him for something, calling upon him for help, believing him to be in your presence when you said it etc.

I believe Shaikh Wahba Zuhayli (Shafi`) could be added to that list.

actually look it at this way, from this angle or viewpoint, the salafis/wahabis had a soft spot for Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah ( who was one of THE students of Shaykh Zahid al-Kawthari )

Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah was the leader of Ikhwan al-Muslimeen in Syria and after Hafiz Asad massacred hundreds of thousands of muslims ( whose son Bashhar Asad is supported by Ahbash - habashis aicp) and wiped out a complete city and had imprisoned the shaykh. it was the grandsons of shaykh muhammad ibn abdulwahhab -- ibrahim aal-shaykh ( the then grandmufti of saudi arabia ) who through diplomatic channels and pressure got shaykh abdul fattah released from prison to saudi arabia where he became a full professor at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud University in Riyadh. Many salafis die to get admission into this university and they get rejected, and see how easily Grand Mufti of the wahabis/salafis not got him released but also appointed him at the University with full privileges. When Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah passed away in Riyadh, Najd, his body was flown from Riyadh to Madinah al-Nabawi and was buried there.

salafis/wahabis who die in jeddah, is hard for them to get buried in makkah al-mukarama..

the gist of the story. sincere and honest muslims are one body. all these tags ( salafi ashari maturidi wahabi deobandi etc) have no meanings.....

Yes, they disagreed on some issues but this disagreement was purely academic and within the frames of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jammaah.
