    Default Sunnah Habits

What are the most important sunnah habits to keep every day (besides the obvious of praying, wudu, etc... I'm talking specific ways to do other tasks)?

And a side question- what, in your opinion (or in hadiths), are the worst habits to have that a lot of people have today which can be detrimental to faith?

There's an amazing book by Arif billah Hakeem Akhtar Sahib damatbarakaatu:

    http://www.khanqah.org/books/show/be...ed-prophet-saw

The worst habits that we practice today are mentioned in this Hadith:

عن المغيرة بن شعبة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال (( إن الله حرم عليكم عقوق الأمهات ، ومنعا وهات , ووأد البنات . وكره لكم قيل وقال ، وكثرة السؤال ، وإضاعة المال )) رواه البخاري .

''Surely Allah has forbidden upon you desrespecting mothers, preventing [things that should be given] and giving [things that shouldn't be given] and burying daughters alive.
And has made abhorrent for you [to] gossip, ask too many questions and waste wealth''.

It's not exact translation and the Arabic is far more beautiful.

From the Pious Scholars what we come to know that at present day following are detrimental to Faith: greed (this leads to love of wealth & yearning worldly status), evil glances (these leads to illicit relationship), talking more (this leads to geebat etc), arrogance [Imam Gazzali (R)'s Tableege Deen (Arbayeen) has a detailed listing with elaborate discussion]. Mufti Taqi Usmani (db)'s Islahi Majalis is another gem today to know and be concerned about treating these ailments.
In another way we can say...
Lack of Divine Knowledge (Elm) and love of dunya leads to all spoilage today, because for Lacking Elm and reaping the love of dunya, Taqwa and Love for Allah Taala & His Rasul SW is removed (May Allah save)!
