Some scholar who is expert in 'Aqidah issues should explain this quote; still, it remains that the Fiqhi definition of kufr is pretty clear.

    Wa Allahu a'lam.

I follow the Hanaabilah (commenly referred to as Atharee creed) in 'aqeedah and I don't know about the Ashaa'irah's opinion.

What I am trying to say is that my position should not be misunderstood to represent the Ashaa'irah, since I am not an Ash'aree but an Atharee.

This post is very hurtfull - "This guy", Mujahid Abdullah, is not a Barelwi, how could I be when I disagree with Ahmed Raidha on so many issues - and to insult my Sheikh by putting his title in quotations, when you know nothing about him, is just mean - The fact that I feel insulted at being called abarlawi should be proof enough that Im not - and whats this talk of an agenda? what agenda have I pushed? The only agenda I have is to increase what little knowledge I have, and if I was Barlwi, why would I do visit a deobandi forum?

I think you guys are under the impresion that I refuse to call a kafir a kafir, and thats simply not true, If I know someone is a kafir I am fine with calling them what they are in the Shari sense, if I have no idea - then I will not pridefully exclaim something which I have no knowledge of - simple as that. Maybe I live in a different world than you guys - I know so many Muslims who do not fit into the traditional Muslim stereo types - I know a guy who has been Muslim for 14 years, He is a former Mexican gang member with his entire upper half of his face tatooed - by some of the posters criteria, if they saw him, they would automaticly lable him a kafir - I know another guy who is a cowboy named Roger, you would never guess he was Muslim. My life experiences have taight me that you realy never know who is Muslim and who is not.

This subject has been debated and debated by men much smarter then all of us, so I ll leave it alone for now - Ultimately, I am only responsible for my own actions, and if I choose to suspend judgement of every persons imaan until I have all the information, I dont see whats wrong with this.

I had gained a quite different understanding of what you were trying to say; what you're saying now is another thing respect to what I was talking about in my reply.

    for your clarification.
