    Default Baraka in time...

    Asalam Alykum WrWb,

In the middle of long secular education, deeni education, family commitments, obligations, duties, responsibilities and dawah activities, I feel that i am getting exausted to the edge. Sounds familiar?

Could elders brothers, apas and scholars answer these questions for me:

    1. What do shuyukh mean when they say "to have baraka in your time"? Whats the definition and what are its components e.g constant repentence of sin, added on good deeds, persistence on sunna?

    2. What actions can one do which increases baraka in his time and sleep?

    3. What NOT to do, so the baraka doesnot decrease.

    JazakAllah khair,

    Really looking forward for replies.

    Wa alykum Asalam.

I know to the answer to your second question. In fact we all know the answer to that, its just we neglect it as small deeds. Its reciting 'Bismillahir-rehmanir-raheem' and 'Ayatul kursi'. Recite Bismillah whenever you begin to do anything good. Recite 'Ayatul kursi' whenever you leave your house, after every salah, while entering the house, on your food and property. Both of these bring immense Barakah(blessing) to it.

I too have the same problem, But I came across this Dua which has helped me a lot:
(there is a spelling mistake in the end of 1st line, its Hammi not Hamma)

Transliteration: Allahumma inni auzhubika minal Hammi wal hazan, wal ajzi wal kasal, wal bukhli wal jubn, wa Dhala'idayni wa Ghalabathi rrijaal.
Meaning:'O Allaah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being over powered by men.'

Here is the video of its explanation and recitation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N5ZYxN2-BQ

Brother Verdana, I hope it's not too much to ask, but would it be possible to have a list of the books available on your server, for us to download?

According to what you have mentioned above, you already have barakah in your time. You are covering all of the bases. Getting tired is the expected result at the end of all of those activities. Keep going as you are I dont see any issues here.

When shuyookh mean barakah in time the meaning is around what you are doing. tay ul waqt. You are doing a whole bunch of beneficial things in 1 day. If you are looking for karaamat then no one can guarantee you that. Recite abundent durood daily, during your activities.

Most generous of mankind, I have no one to take refuge in,
Except you at the occurrence of widespread calamity.
