Ilm wo Noor hai jise Haasil karne ke baad baghair amal kiye chain na aaye..
Agar ye hai to ilm hai varna maloomat hai......Aur maloomat ki qayamat ke din pakad hai..
Ke jitna hasil kiya uspe kitna amal kiya

Maybe it works but we don't feel it? How do we know it's working?
Ubadah Ibn Samitnarrates that indeed Rasulullah
said: There is not a Muslim on this earth, who supplicates to Allah Ta'ala, except that Allah grants what is asked for, or some trouble is diverted from proportionate to his prayer, or a reward is preserved for him until he prays for something sinful or which breaks the ties of kinship. A man from amongst the people said: Then we shall supplicate excessively. He said: Allah is more Generous (than what you can ask for).
(Tirmidhi, Mustadrak Hakim)
Abu Hurairahnarrates that Rasulullah
said: Supplicate to Allah with absolute belief that your Du'a will be accepted. And know that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala does not answer a Du'a that comes from a careless and inattentive heart.
(Tirmidhi)
Abu Hurairahnarrates that indeed Nabi
said: Du'a (supplication) of a slave (of Allah) continues to be accepted, until he prays for something sinful, or something that severs the ties of kinship; provided he is not impatient. It was asked: O Rasulullah! What is impatience? He said: The slave says: I invoked and indeed I invoked again, but saw no response. Then he becomes frustrated, and gives up supplication.

Hearts are predisposed to love someone who does them good and to detest someone who does them harm.

Is making supplication for something haram considered a sin?
i think this thread should be closed or it should be more specific
Most generous of mankind, I have no one to take refuge in,
Except you at the occurrence of widespread calamity.
From personal experience I would advice you to find someone (at your local masjid) or those who do zikhr circles and try and get tips of them.
The reason why I say this is because for the last few months I have spent a lot of time doing Zikhr in the form of tasbeeh at my local mosque (im new to this as well).
I used to see an uncle who my family know and i don't think he knew who I was but I always used to say salaam to him, i think after a few weeks he realised who I was and i started to engage in conversation with him.
I later found out from my family that he has spent a lot of his life doing Zikhr and knows a lot (if that makes sense)
Anyway I approached this uncle and asked him to teach me something and he said he would in a few days (a few days later he took me to the side) and told me to do a certain Zikhr (this is something I have done many times before and something which I have repeated many many times). However he told me a certain way to say it .. and every time i saw him in the mosque after that he used to ask me has anything happened yet i used to say no .. because for some reason when ever i tried it the way he said my concentration lasted for 30 seconds but when i used to do it myself i could do 1000 tasbeh without any interruptions.
Anyway i carried on with this and recently i had a really lovely experience mashallah .. my heart beat changed .. i felt a pulse in my head and my head became light ... I haven't bumped into the uncle and managed to tell him this yet .. inshallah hoping this week I will...
If there is anything specific you would like to know or unsure what to read or a specific thing you are after please be sure to ask on here and Inshallah some of the brothers should be able to advice further.
