Mummy, are Daddy and the Milkman the same?
But Daddy is a Binman - did he change his name?
I know you don't make the final say or decision,
But can't you even tell me which one of them I'm from?

If you can't, I'll try to understand and keep it quiet,
Wouldn't want the living room to break out in a riot.
I'll just keep showing the same old respect I have for 'Dad,'
I know he'll give me money and still call me 'a good lad.'

In the end, I hope my pretence mends a broken home
While I spill the beans, it seems, online in a poem,
I guess that's why my mum and dad dropped truth for ignorance,
But if him and her were Muslim, sure, there'd be a difference.

This difference is making you shine
Among the many muslims by birth today
    Know you are blessed indeed
Thank Allah the One, who made you out from clay

You will return to Him ALONE
Just like you came to the world ALONE

Made in stagnation, clay the foundation,
Moulded then told of spirit and cause.
Able to label all the Creation,
Down to the grass, roots, teeth and claws.

    Beams of illumination prostrated,
    In protestation, one declined.
    Pride and desire then deviated,
Set to frustrating all of Mankind.

So now you know, it's all about ego,
Struggle with the self, see how we go.
What the war's for is not about me, though,
I will what He wills to be so.

    What happened to this poem?
The thread is cold and dead,
Write about something you recently experienced,
or write about something you recently read.

Yesterday on the receiver I did hear
In Mufti Ebrahim Desai's Islahi bayaan
Of one of His slaves, filled with wisdom and fear
Known to us all as Hakeem Luqmaan
Would that I had the wings of Gabriel to bear me aloft
To the Lord of the Throne

Recently I was called one night
To speak of Islam, the noor and light
The occasion was iftar at my work place
Listening were people of all religions and race

The following words was all I could say
May Allah SWT accept it is what I pray

From dawn to dusk restrained we stay,
away from food, away from water whole day,
away from bad thoughts, desires or fray,
As night falls, for long hours we pray…

Blessed is Ramadan the month of piety,
A time for spirituality, a time for charity,
A way to experience the pains of humanity,
Hunger and thirst life’s bitter reality…

Life is but God's blessing and grace,
A time to Build, Bond and Embrace…
Come join us, for our hearts to join,
People of one nation, bearers of one Race…
Fear Allah's Istighna as you fear Allah's azaab ( Mol Saad Sb)

    The Muslim life post 9-11,
Need a security check even to get into heaven,
Drone bombing indiscriminate innocence easily murdered at the age of 7.

Bombs fall over Baghdad without any legal evidence,
Kabul city full of frightened residents,
Relentless Palestine, the Jewish Zionist pestilence
has put a veil over the American common sense.

    The Pentagon security footage disappears,
We're supposed to believe some dudes raided a plane with box cutters and shears?
Its a fantasy concocted to first heighten your fears,
Then rob your civil liberties while your drowning intoxicated in your beer.

Blackwater agents operating worldwide in Islamic disguise,
Haliburton stock makes a quarterly historic rise,
But to Vice President **** Cheany its a no surprise,
So my man close the tv and just open your eyes,
Why they got pyramids everywhere? Is the Pharoah alive?

Big ceo's bunked up with the president in Mandalay at the Grove,
But not writing public policy is the lie we're told,
America, America, brave and bold, brave and bold,
The economy blindly robbed of all of its gold,
Like a bad hand in poker this country is about to fold.

Continuing with Musa, Shuayb and the story,
His heart knew that this was help from Allah surely.

He accepted the invite and they set out for home,
He walking in front; thus his modesty was shown.
Then up ahead, Musa saw a fire in the distance.
Little did he know, from Allah it was guidance.

So while his family stayed behind, he climbed Mount Tuwa.
And when he came to it, he was called, "Ya Musa!" (22:11)

At once he became afraid, struck with fear
For he did not know, it was Allah he would hear.

So Allah told him of the Hour, the day of Recompense
The day all will get their due, and paid will be every expense
Emotions tense, heat intense, and no pretense

So Allah made him a prophet and granted for him his request,
Untied the knot from his tongue and expanded his breast

So both him and his brother were sent to the transgressor
A self-declared illah, and shameless oppressor

Allah showed him his Signs, but he denied them all
so in the end, he was the one to fall

Drowned in the sea, forever to be cursed
this is the recompense for the one who, in sin, is immersed

Among great men were people like Musa
And another like him was Ibrahima hanifa

Prophet Ibrahim understood tauheed even as a youth
Which is why Allah calls him, "one inclining toward truth" (36:7)
