The lessons are continuing, they have no end
Not straight they are, they twist and bend
Where one has finished, the other will begin
This life's manual of do good and don't sin

The Most Merciful is true to His Supreme Name
A guide He sent whose beauty sent the moon into shame
Throughout the world his name continues to shine
For the seekers and believers an indisputable sign

A living example of the Qur'aan he was to be
And this is something that all of us can see
For his every word was guided by Allah the Great
Ah, we as his followers should be grateful at our fate!
Lost in an ocean of doubt and confusion am I
    Seeking Your burning beacon light
~ Heart Song, Talib al Habib

' With hoor al ayn in jannah we would lay..'

Pearls.. rubies.. milk n honey.. and treasures beyond tht words could say ..
    rivulets dazzling high over bank..
Yet Foreheads thirsty for a sajda to pray..
Ah , dear father.. May Allah raise ur rank..
U brought us here in the land to toil..
What the hoor could give was pleasure all day..
Ah ,..the sweat of horses .. pounding hoofs.. and swords shining for none to foil..

And.. whrez badr..uhud and yarmuk.. I see not men bare handed and light..
Abu Bakr..Umar.. Usman and Ali.. khalid..ikrimah and qa’qa’s might..
May Allah be pleased with one and all..

Our mountains witnessed a beuty sublime.. noor of worlds.. and hidaya to all..
a million hoor.. laiba and ayn. ..behold ye in silence and fade within..
Rise did he.. beloved of Allah.. what amina's house held safe within..

lamp of universe siraj un muneer.. his words did reach far and wide..
the praise of ka'ab .. pride of Hassan..life of owais.. and crown of sa'ad..
held close to heart by a thousand strong ..with faith unwavered by time or tide..

Ah , dear father.. u saw them all.. bricks of gold and cement of musk..
chips of pearl and saffron for sand..
yet they envied for earth's two drops.. the voices of men ever so pure..
the dharb of zikr.. the sound of azaan.. the echo of qur'an tht filled our land..
tear of a sufi ..blood of mujahid.. they struggled a lot from dawn to dusk..

Allah willing ull see them soon.. his bondsmen all.. large and small..
your eden has indeed dressed up for them.. millions shall oneday together stand..
this faceless is dark.. brimming with sin.. hide me o father with fear I crawl..
just luv for them and empty hands .. I trust my destiny in his merciful hand..

Focus not on the shuyukh or on the inheritor of the prophet,
Unintentionally you have begun to divert this thread, I beg of you STOP IT!
Please dedicate you praise to those who strived,
To ensure that by the laws of Allah they're communities lived.

Yusuf was cast into the wild?
NO! that was the tale, no rather a lie, his brothers told,
To his grieving father to stay his fury and might.
Though he suspected they were false and his sadness overcame his faculty of sight.

Rescued from a well and sold into slavery,
He was tested by the Governor's wife who found him extremely savory.
Imprisoned by the deceived Governor, Yusuf discovered his gift of dream interpretation,
By which he learned that only one of his his prison companions faced emancipation.

    Yusuf too was eventually freed,
To the wife's confession did Governor Aziz pay heed.
Allah rewarded Yusuf the opportunity to see his brothers again,
Yaqub rejoiced, not by wolves, was his beloved son slain.

In Egypt Yusuf ensured that his brothers were honored, not hated.
From the twelve sons of Yaqub, twelve prosperous tribes originated.
The Israelites lived in harmony with the locals until the Pharoahs began their tyrannical rule,
And treated the Israelites as naught but mules.

    next post: Moses.
there will be time aplenty for other topics, hold on to your horses!
This poem is about the Ambiya keep it flowing,
I'm sure you understand where this is going.

Now fixed is the error that was made in the above section.
Keep the narrative going until completion.
Brought into the "wild" and consequently being eaten by wolves was being differentiated,
From being dropped into a well in the darkness, the conditions horrid.

hold hold, and hold onto that reign once more
where did the rules of thread come to fore
SF Poem is what it is, and shall have ease
let those with interest in history themselves explore

But wait yet before ye gallop the poem ahead
No King such as Aziz, nor no Queen that confessed
Aziz was a governor, with zulekhan his wife
Yusuf their slave, and shariah he upheld

So lets set straight this record and proceed
Message of Dhahir and Batin they all accede
Since we start at adam, where is my beloved sheeth?
Idris , Saleh or Ismail and Yunus the shaheed?

Wait there, wait! Dear old Hafiz Gee,
For youve made a blunder, for all to see,
Cast into the wild he was, in a manner so mean,
As Allah says in Surah Yusuf, verse fifteen:

So they did take him away,
and agreed to throw him in the darkness of the well

    (near translation)

The lie by the brothers was other than what you say,
They came to Yaqub crying: "A wolf came and snatched him away"
Thus Allah tested his patience, and showed him His way,
But Allah was with him, and the Devil cudnt take him astray,

I know that didnt make much sense, but I tried to rhyme,
A poor attempt I know, but it's only my 1st time!!

MashaAllah there are some good poets here
My words are clumsy next to theirs, I fear!

So Allah saved His prophet Yusuf, the wise
And granted him more honor than a Nobel prize

Allah increased his progeny a great deal
And they came to be known as Bani Isra'eel

They lived in Egypt, the land of the Nile
Where a harsh Pharaoh ruled the land fertile

Foolishly called himself the Lord did he
"Do you not see these rivers flowing under me?"

And one fateful day someone would predict
A baby to be born would create conflict

The boy was to be from the progeny of the wise
And would come and be the cause of the Pharaoh's demise

But that could not be, so thought the Pharaoh
I am the king, I'll shoot him with an arrow

But Allah plans, and He is the best planner
No one can change His plan in any manner...

    Assalaam'aaleykum!

How I so wish I could contribute to this thread
But my ‘ilm and ‘amaal both are dead
Ruh corrupt, Taqwa not remotely possessed
Slave to Nafs, which always stands dead ahead
So hard it’s pressed, it don’t seem to get suppressed
With these striking defects, I dare raise my head
Fulfilling my vain wish to contribute to this thread….

Sorry for going off on a tangent but had an itch to drop something...Now it's gone...

im well aware of story of firaun
but not getting anything to add on

yes, Allah is the best of Planner so is His plan
A boy was born and named Musa (Alaihi salam)

mother put him in box and placed on waves of river Nile
box ended up at palace of firaun the vile

but pious Asiyah saved him from being drowned
Musa (Alaihi salam) raised and brought up in firaun's own place.

Poetry in English? That I don't understand,
My ilm is zilch, my actions bland,
Leave the sins, adopt the sunnah my wretched baser self,
That is the summary, that is the trend.
