Shaykh Kamaluddin Ahmed was born and raised in Manhattan (New York City). He completed his undergraduate studies in Arabic, Islamic Civilization, and Political Theory at the University of Chicago. Shaykh Kamaluddin then spent many years in Pakistan studying full-time the classical disciplines of Islamic learning and received both the ‘Alim and Mufti degrees. From 2005-2010, Shaykh Kamaluddin was a professor of Islamic intellectual history, legal theory, spirituality, and ethics at one of Pakistan’s leading universities. For over seventeen years, Shaykh Kamaluddin has consistently remained in the close company of Hazrat Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad and was granted ijaza in tasawwuf (Islamic spirituality) in 2002. Since then, he has been continually guiding seekers on the path of coming closer to Allah. As of Autumn 2010, Shaykh Kamaluddin is permanently resident in the UK where he is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Islamic intellectual history and legal theory at the University of Oxford. In the future, the Shaykh will insha'Allah continue to divide his time between his students in the UK and Pakistan. In 2005, the Shaykh and his respected wife established an Islamic educational institute for women in Lahore (www.zaynabacademy.org) that also offers free courses online to women all over the world. The Shaykh regularly delivers lectures on Islamic topics at Masjids, Darul Ulooms, and Universities, many of which may be heard online at www.islamicspirituality.org

We are endeavouring to arrange a creche facility for the Maktubaat course. Details will be sent on registration InshAllah. There will be a cost for this.

The evening bayan will be for brothers only - as per the Masjid's request.

InshAllah, both events will be broadcasted live.

2. I heard the organisers have been looking into hiring qualified child-minders to provide a professional creche facility. You should email the address given for registration and express your interest. I believe the costs for the service if provided will be carried by the parents.
