''There is no intelligence like planning,No nobility like good character,No piety like restraint.''-(Bayhaqi,shu'ab al-iman)
Allah Allah Allah .....

Hazrat Ali RA said: "If anyone teaches me one word (ruling), I will become his slave. If he desires, can sell me in market."
Ilm wo Noor hai jise Haasil karne ke baad baghair amal kiye chain na aaye..
Agar ye hai to ilm hai varna maloomat hai......Aur maloomat ki qayamat ke din pakad hai..
Ke jitna hasil kiya uspe kitna amal kiya
Mufti Shafee RA

Can someone give the reference? I'd like to see this saying in Arabic.
edit: A few minor adjustements to the phrase in red.
"If anyone teaches me even one word (ruling), I will become his slave. If he desires, he can sell me in the market."
Would that I had the wings of Gabriel to bear me aloft
To the Lord of the Throne~ Heart Song, Talib al Habib

Although I am not an English expert...
I will rewrite the sentence below
Whoever taught me one word, I will be his slave. If he wishes, he may sell me in the market.Who thought me one word (rule )I can be his slave, if he wish he can sell me in market.
The word you used was 'thought' which is the past tense of think. Taught is the past tense of teach. I also changed the 'can' to 'may'.
