Gunaaon ki nahusat se Allah aur us gunegaar ke beechme aik wahshat ki deewaar khadi hojaati hai.
How do you translate wahshat here?

Fear can possibly fit? ya'nee, sometimes sinners are so dark and deep into sins, the rahmat of Allaah never crosses their thoughts. its all about nasty/scary fear (not the good one)
I humbly feel that can fit.. would share few stories that could support this, but perhaps itd be speaking of my sisters (something they'd dislike) behind their back, hence ill abstain.
hope someone else can help out

It would be nice if the whole sentence is translated iA.

    poor translation

"Due to the nahusat (evil effects) of sins, between Allaah taala and the sinner, a wall (barrier) of fear is erected/set up"

ps- khadi.. khaRi right? same thing khara hona- to stand?

    yeah stand
I see the meaning of wahshat as "Solitude, Grief, Fear, Sadness, Loneliness"
    Khair I will see iA
    jazaakiAllah

I see the word is close to the meaning like desolation, cheerlessness, dreariness (i took from arabic dictionary) bcos the sentence goes like, when one saves himself from sins, he will find love and attachment with Allah SWT and hence his heart will desire more for the ibaadat like recitation of Quran, spending more time in masjid, remembering Allah SWT in solitude while a sinner will find a kind of wahshat with Allah SWT.
May be I can write wahshat itself and put the meanings inside the brackets. Anyway I would appreciate your suggestion too. hehe
    jazaakiAllahu khayra again

Wahshat is fear in the vein of apprehension. The stronger form is Dahshat, terror.

Ghutti is that tonic which we give to children before they are grown up to eat things other than mother's milk.
In Urdu it is used for that knowledge is that is deeply ingrained in our psyche and we learned it before we became aware of the things around us.
