Can you enlighten us about these English perfumes that are best by date, and offering original non-alcoholic form of oud? I am searching for years and couldn't find one.

Never-mind it. Your term "English perfumes", made me assume you meant modern perfumery shops found in every shopping center are offering Oud by date. So I was excited for a moment.

With some types of itrs, the longer it sits the better it smells.

I was just asking because I did not know whether it would, over time, decompose in to an impermissible substance

If the oudh you purchased was natural, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

And how would a novice like me differentiate between original and fake. I bought it for around £50.

Wipe some on your clothes and then see if smell lasts longer than a day or two.
