Default surah al-kahf: "wal yatalattaf" read outloud?

why do you have to say "wal-yata-lattaf" loudly in verse 18 of surah al-kahf?

I have never heard of this. Wal-yatalattaf is supposedly the word at the exact middle of the Qur'an Kareem but I have never been told to say it loudly...

    As Salaam Alaikum,

    In وَلْيَتَلَطَّفْ -

طَّ is from huroof e ista'aala so naturally there will be tafkheem on this letter so it may sound louder. Rest of the letters in this word are of tarqeeq.

This word is bold in some Musaahif because on this word is half of Qur'an in terms of count of words.

    And Allah knows best.

    Wa alaykumu s-salam.

Never heard of this before. Is there any dalil which says that we have to read it out loud?

As far as I know, walyatalattaf (and let him be cautious) is nisf al-Qur'an.
