Just wondering if anyone has any info about this guy?

Im sure i read/heard he is a Mamati and that he got jailed for writing some abusive books?

Ahmed Saeed Multani was not a mamati even as they disowned him after he penned down a very offensive book "Quran e Muqadas ya Bukhari Muhadis" in which he severely attacked Ameer Ul Mo'meneen fil Hadith Imam Bukhari ra. He was the staunch supporter of Hanafism and when he encountered a huge contrast between Sahee Bukhari and Fiqh Hanafi , he started castigating Imam Bukhari ra . He was jailed for that book and i think that the Ahli Hadith and deobandis filed a joint case against him.
