He also has the original copies of the personal hadith books of some of these masha'ikh along with some of the first copies printed in the sub-continent.
He lives only a few doors away from the house in which Maulana Idris Kandhlawi lived before moving to Pakistan. His father Maulana Iftikhar lives a short distance away.
Maulana Nur al-Hasan is truly a great scholar and very academic in his approach. You will find many nuanced explanations and analysis in his works and when discussing issues with him. He is the author of the book Ustadh al-Kull Hazrat Maulana Mamluk al'Ali Nanotwi, along with other books he has either authored, translated or edited. Some of these are Suyuti's Al-'Arf al-Wardi fi Akhbar al-Mahdi, Asma'i Badriyyin, Rasa'il Usul al-Hadith, Fadilat-i Qur'an, etc. These are published by Hazrat Mufti Ilahi Baksh Academy.
The road to Kandhla from Saharanpur is really broken down so if you want to go there you should try to visit by train. Maulana Nur al-Hasan is very generous with his time and receives many visitors. The graveyard is also a place to visit as it has many of the masha'ikh of Kandhla buried there, along with Maulana Abdullah Gangohi, author of Ikmal al-Shiyam.
I believe he would be indispensable for your study of the masha’ikh of Kandhla and should be able to answer most of your questions and also have the resources you need.
