urine problem urgent, BROTHERS ONLY

assalaamu alaykum.

After i urinate , drops keep coming out. So i keep having to wash private parts and wudu.

I had to delay magrib by 15mins cuz of this problem.

In magrib salah i dont no if i felt a drop coming out or not, so wot should i do know ? Everytime i was my private parts i get up and another drop comes out.

Ive tryed waiting,coughing, movin about. But still keep coming out.

What should i do ?

Hmm.. you sure it drops maybe it's just waswasah? What you can do is wash your private parts and don't dry it completely so that it won't make you think it's the urine but the water you've washed with.

I always dry after washing. Am just worried about my salah.

some people need to take extra precaution after urinating. one method used is first to use tissue and clean yourself with it as best as possible. thereafter get some more clean tissue and hold it where the urine comes out and stand up and down a few times and even take a few steps if possible. this may help the few drops of urine to come out that would otherwise come out after you have left the bathroom. then wash yourself as normal after this.

also to determine if urine is indeed coming out then after washing yourself as above, use some tissue and secure it where the urine comes out and leave the bathroom as normal. after a few minuites check the tissue to see if urine is still coming out. if you feel it has come out but after checking you realise it has not then it is waswasah (whisperings of the devil) and you should ignore it. after a few days of ignoring it then these waswasah will stop.

many men go through this problem of waswasah. in my experience and also of others, the waswasah stop pretty quickly once you start ignoring them.

Brother, if you're certain you don't have control over your urination please go see your doctor, as it sounds like you're suffering from some form of urinary incontinence.

Coughing will possibly only make things worse, as you maybe suffering from stress incontinence, where increased abdominal pressure (e.g. from coughing, sneezing) causes even more leakage.

Also, if the urine is 'dribbling' out as it sounds it is here this could be indicative of problems with your prostate, whereby an enlarged prostrate can pressurise the urethra (the tube through which urine flows out of) and hence cause problems with the flow resulting in trapped urine which then leaks out. Inshallah this is not the case but to be on the safe side please dont waste any time in seeing your doctor, it's nothing to be embarrased about trust me they've seen it all before.

Brother this is a very common case in the clinics. So dont be shy seeing a doctor, it could be Urinary Tract Infection and might resolve with antibiotics IF the cause in bacterial.

Also, more than actual problem, it could be psychogenic. If you are under huge amount of stress, this coud occur with frequent urination. Relax when this happens and the situation will get better.

Its "very" important to go see a doctor at this stage.

There are brothers who still after seeing the docter have the same problem. I believe the Hanafi opinion is unfollowable. You will never be a madh'ur according to the Ahnaf since you will find 6 minutes in that 2 hour prayer period in order to pray salah.

We need a practical solution. How is a man supposed to keep on performing wudu 3/4 times, loosing 30 minutes, when he has a fulltime job, and has other things to do. What is he supposed to do when he is in a break and only has 15 minutes to pray, and tiny drops are still coming (when you perform sajda).

Can you pray standing out of fear? Can you follow an other school of thought which is more easy? We need practical solutions!

Brother, what is your age? Depending on your age, it might be a prostate problem as well. Otherwise, it might be a urinary tract infection as another brother mentioned. In any case, do not delay in going to see a urologist about this issue.

salams brother,
some people do need to spend more time ensuring that the urinary tract has been fully emptied before they can proceed to make wudhu.
there are different ways people use to get rid of drops of urine left in the urinary tract after urinating for example coughing ,walking,standing up and down etc.
the latter methods mentioned are referred to as istibra-please do search on istibra and you will find other methods of getting rid of last few drops of urine.
from personal experience it can take me about 10 minutes to ensure i am fully satisfied that urine has been emptied properly before i can proceed to make wudhu.
also you can sprinkle some water on your underwear after washing your privates so if you get any doubts that urine drops have come out or feel wetness (while doing wudhu or after wudhu) then you can assume it to be the sprinkled water and hence get rid of the whispers of satan.
