Is Peer zulfiqar naqshbandi (db) an Alim?

I heard and read Peer zulfiqar naqshbandi (db) was an engineer and a hafiz. is he an Alim as well?

He is an Alim and has ijaza in schools of tassawuf.

There are many mureedeen of the Shaykh lurking around here. I request anyone of them to correct me immediately if whatever I have written is not correct.

If your question is: Does Shaykh Zulfiqar (db) have an accredited Dars-e-Nizami degree from Wifaq ul Madaaris of Pakistan? Then I believe he does not have such a degree.

I understand that he has studied the uloom of the deen with various scholars over the years, up to such a level with which he can effortlessly traverse between the realms of shariah and tareeqah.

Even though on his recent tour to India there were crowds of literally hundreds of thousands, the determination of whether an individual is on the haq or not cannot be decided based on crowds of the masses. Instead, it is determined by the opinion of that individual in the eyes of the scholars. A unique quality of Shaykh Zulfiqar (db) is that many many of his mureedeen *are* scholars - to the extent that he has been given the title, the Shaykh of the Ulema. Personally, I was very (pleasantly) surprised when I saw the extent to which scholars, specifically well respected experienced scholars, are bay`ah to him.

He was also invited to Darul Uloom Deoband recently to give bayaanaat, upon which the resident scholars had immense praise - which I will refrain from posting here as I do not remember the exact words as relayed to me. Additionally, many scholars and students of Darul Uloom Deoband gave bay`ah to the Shaykh en masse during his stay there.

May Allaah swt preserve the Hadhrat Shaykh, and all of the mashaaikh from all the silsilahs!
