Default Praying Behind Imam in Saudi Arabia? Yes or no?

    Salaams to all,

I am very confused as i have asked many people whether it is permissable to pray behind the imam in makkah and medina, i have had various answers such as:
    1) we shouldn't becasue the ahle-sunnah wal jammat belive that Imam's disrespect the prophet (Peace be upon him)
    2) You should becasue Prophet muhammad (Peace be upon him) “Whoever performs forty prayers in this my masjid, destined for him is the freedom from Fire and redemption from the punishment, and he becomes immune from hypocricy'.
i have approached the Iman of my local mosque and told me not to, however when i went last year i didn't feel what i was doing was wrong and had purely the intention of praying with jama't for ALlah alone.
I dont know what to do as i will be going for umrah this ramadhaan.

    salams sister,
it is unfortunate that some people (men and women) spend thousands of pounds and go to makkah mukarammah and medina munawarrah and pray salat by themselves because someone has told them certain things about the imams in saudi.
i do not know where the imams disrespect to the Prophet SAW comes from, where is the evidence of this disrepect?
as regards to women praying behind the imam, when it is not crowded then i do not see a problem but when its crowded then it may be better for women to pray in their hotel rooms.(ALLAH SWT KNOWS BEST).
sister, it is best that you do your own research from reliable sources before deciding and not just listen to others and believe,(look at evidence).

also, some people put others into more confusion.how has guido12 come to a conclusion that it is haram ,i have never heard this before.
may ALLAH SWT FORGIVE US ALL FOR OUR WRONGS.

    br. guido is probably joking.

as for praying behind these imams, its absolutely allowed. the ones who say its not are ignorant.
they have spaces for women and men. it wont be a problem

Pray behind them. It's a once in-a-lifetime opportunity for some.

Life of Imam-e-Haramain Sharifain and masid-e-nabavi s.w.s are full of taqwas. Even a non-taqwa person cries behind them. If you are getting a chance to pray behind them then don't miss this opportunity.
p.s This is only for Imam-e- Haramain Sharifain and masid-e-nabavi s.w.s. Can't say about other Imams of Saudi Arabia.

Hazrath Shaikh Guido12 please keep your fake Fatwas with you.
If I or any of my posts hurt you anytime, either here on this forum or anywhere outside this forum, then I ask sincere forgiveness from you.

It's wrong, 100% LIE, propaganda of innovators against the Imams of Makkah and Madinah.

There's no problem in praying behind the Imams of (Masjid Al Haram in) Makkah and (Masjid Al Nabawi in) Madinah and whosoever abandon the congregational prayer there, he/she is such an unfortunate person.

    Salam.

    I'm wondering the same too.
Because I've watched Sheikh as-Sudais' prayer, and I noticed that he didn't recite bismillahirrahmanirrahim in the al-Fatihah. He just straight away starts with alhamdulillahirabbilalamin.
According to Shafi'i, reciting bismillahirrahmanirrahim in the al-Fatihah is wajib as it is one of the ayats; and if you don't recite it, your prayer will be invalid.
This is based on al-Qur'an, sura al-Hijr, verse 18:
And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an.
And the "seven of the often repeated" mentioned here is the total verses al-Fatihah.
So, is my prayer valid if I pray behind Sheikh as-Sudais or any Hanbali?

You mean to say reciting bismillahirrahmanirrahim in a long tone is wajib in shawafey maslak?
If not, he might have recited in the silent tone which is not necessary that it should hear you!
I do not know the maslak of all Imams there.
If I or any of my posts hurt you anytime, either here on this forum or anywhere outside this forum, then I ask sincere forgiveness from you.
