Default Working as a teacher and the issue of practising Islam in school

I'm not sure if this is the right section to ask this question... but here goes anyway .

in September I'm starting a PGCE course in Secondary Mathematics in London, and I've started wondering about how I will deal with issues regarding practising Islam at work or on placements - such as praying on time etc. I'm aware that I might not necessarily end up working in a Muslim school.

I've read some of MCB's material on this issue, and it has been quite useful.

Are there are any brothers or sisters here who work in the teaching profession and have had experience of dealing with this? What do you think is the best way of approaching people at work and explaining things to them?

    Thanking you in advance.
