Also you must think things through before you come into fold of islam. It is not a fad. If you are convinced about the deen of islam, then go right ahead but if you are uncertain, it is better to disscuss things through with us or seassoned scholar before you accepting.
Should you decided to accept, do not disclose your reversion to your relative or friend unless you feel comfortable with it. You being a muslim is a personal matter and it is enough at this stage that the local imam or some muslim are aware of it. Islam teaches us to be reflective and all our action has to be measured, thought out and in accordance to Scholarly guidance with humility, sincerety.
