    Questions:
    A) What about dinasours? After all they did exist. Such a big phenomenon has passed in the history of the earth. Why has religion failed to explain it or why has it been missed out? B) Muslims keep claiming that there are scientific facts in the Quran, but there are also similar things in the Hindu scriptures. Why are they given a miss? Muslims keep interpreting the Surah's and Ayah's to suit the society at that time. Basically whenever a scientific discovery is made they say, "Oh, that was in the Quran 1400 years ago," so basically Muslims have to wait for scientific discoveries before confirming it in the Quran

The following are replies to questions posed by a young Muslim in Bradford on behalf of his uncle, an individual born into a Muslim family but who has since left the religion, unable to find answers to his many questions. The replies are given by Sheikh Nuh Keller, addressing the relationship between Islam and such topics as destiny, free will, evolution, and other revealed faiths. The answers were given in a series of informal gatherings held over five evenings during Ramadan of this year (2003) in Amman, Jordan.

That question was asked to Abdur Rahman Ibn Yusuf when he visited London recently. He answered by saying Adam (as) was 70 feet tall so why wouldn't animals be the same.

Akhi, any ideas where's that from? I thought the hadith from Bukhari mentioning that Adam alayhisalam was 60 cubits [90 feet] tall were referring to his height in Jannah?
Imam al-Zarqani said in his book Manahil al-Irfan: 'Our Scholars agreed that if a word carries 99 aspects of disbelief and one aspect of faith, it must be interpreted according to the best of meanings, which is faith'.

I am over 90% sure he said 70 feet tall and I think he was referring to his height on earth. If any of the other brothers who went to the Aqidah course at the Azhar Academy want to correct me if I'm mistaken then please do.

    Dinosaurs in the Noble Quran:

A questioner on my Message Board at: http://www.answering-christianity.co...e=142/main.txt asked the question about why Allah Almighty never mentioned dinosaurs in the Noble Quran?

Allah Almighty did mention dinosaurs in the Noble Quran. While the word "dinosaurs" is a modern word that refers to the gigantic animals that existed perhaps millions of years ago, Allah Almighty referred to all created "beasts" as "dabbah". A "dabbah" in the Noble Quran consists of all animals, including the dinosaurs.

"Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which God Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise. (The Noble Quran, 2:164)"
"He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. (The Noble Quran, 31:10)"

Notice in Noble Verse 31:10, Allah Almighty said that He created the mountains to prevent the earth from shaking (which had been scientifically proven to be true. Please visit: www.answering-christianity.com/mountains.htm), and then after that He, the Almighty, created beasts and scattered them throughout the land. These first beasts that were created before mankind are what we call today "dinosaurs".

the word 'daabah' refers to dinosaurs?

are you quoting from someone or are you passing off your own personal opinion about the Qur'aan?
