The loss of a spiritual guide is such a huge loss; only one who has been there will understand that.
I think one of the reasons he was so maqbool was that he always made time for people. So often we would have people even on the forum who were referred to him and I think many people were often surprised that a well known Shaykh and someone so busy, with so many mureeeds would take out time to answer each and every query so promptly. He gave hope and reasurrance to many and turned many people to Allah. I think is one of the secrets of his maqbooliyat. Many mashaikh and scholars don't often make time to respond to every individual person who contacts them and even us, on the forum often don't give much time to new members who have personal problems that are often repetitive but which cause them much distress and sometimes at the expense of their faith, but Shaykh made time for everyone. That is a beautiful lesson and a beautiful reminder of the importance of khidmah to the makhlooq.
May Allah accept his khidamaat and accept us all for the same.
I was wondering if maybe some of the members who have corresponded with him would share some of the naseehah he gave. Obviously not the personal issues that are confidential, but some of the answers he gave could probably give hope and inspiration to others too.
