Maulana Muhammad Hashim Saheb DB mentioned during his Laylat al Ba'rah talk at Musjid Noor that during a past visit of Hazrath RA for Umrah he had seen Hazrath RA three times in a dream on the mimbar of Masjid Nabawi delivering a talk to thousands if not millions of people.

I've been thinking about his beautiful death since the news came. The dua on his website yesterday by one of his mureeds (I assume) was just heart rendering. The loss of a spiritual guide is such a huge loss; only one who has been there will understand that.

I think one of the reasons he was so maqbool was that he always made time for people. So often we would have people even on the forum who were referred to him and I think many people were often surprised that a well known Shaykh and someone so busy, with so many mureeeds would take out time to answer each and every query so promptly. He gave hope and reasurrance to many and turned many people to Allah. I think is one of the secrets of his maqbooliyat. Many mashaikh and scholars don't often make time to respond to every individual person who contacts them and even us, on the forum often don't give much time to new members who have personal problems that are often repetitive but which cause them much distress and sometimes at the expense of their faith, but Shaykh made time for everyone. That is a beautiful lesson and a beautiful reminder of the importance of khidmah to the makhlooq.

May Allah accept his khidamaat and accept us all for the same.

I was wondering if maybe some of the members who have corresponded with him would share some of the naseehah he gave. Obviously not the personal issues that are confidential, but some of the answers he gave could probably give hope and inspiration to others too.
    السلام عليكم,

I've been thinking about what were the special qualities of Hazrat that really set him apart from others and caused me and others to have so much attachment to him. It's very interesting, because I don't think you would classify him as a "great" orator or someone with a great voice while reciting poetry, or a writer of flowery speeches. He even would say this himself. His speeches were simple and straightforward, even the little jokes and puns he would make were simple, short just lighthearted. He spoke from the mimbar like one of us would speak to friends in ordinary conversation.

So what was it that caused people like me, even before I ever wrote to him (I never wrote to him until I had already been listening to his bananas for some years), to be so affected and changed by those words?

I think what it was is that he made the Sunnah so simple, so practical, something that came alive in front of you. When you listened to his bayans it would be like your own daily life was being described and you would see how application of simple practices would make a real difference and the connection would become truly clear between the solutions of the Sunnah and the problems of everyday life.

A bayaan didn't go by that he wouldn't mention giving people their rights, treating the wife and family correctly, ills of society like cheating in business, widespread sicknesses that are kept under the covers like pornography, gambling, prostitution. He would mention smiling at your wife in the same sentence with tahajjud and nafl fasting. He would mention lowering the gaze in the shops and classrooms in the same sentence with lying and backbiting.

An excellent example of his uniqueness (in my experience) is when he spoke out against the practice of calling the adhaan on the loudspeakers at very loud volumes. Things like this, we don't even think about, and some people would consider it an act of virtue to blast the adhaan, but he said just make it loud enough so the close by musallis can hear it- what is the value in people in other surrounding masjids hearing the adhaan from your masjid? The sunnah with no excess, practical, simple, beautiful in every way.

He used to give practical advice for the huffaadh who forgot their hifdh. He would give practical advice for calming an angry wife. And when he spoke passionately about some ill of our society it would be with so much pain and love that the tears could not be held back.

ah! It was the completeness, the practicality, the real-life of the beautiful sunnah which caused an attraction that was impossible to resist. Sinners like me, on the other side of the globe felt the pull of his call, the effect of his simple straightforward speech, his soft tones, his cries in du'aa.

    Bismihi Ta’ala

The following details were given by one of Hazrat Maulana's family members:

When one enters the MAIN entrance of Jannatul-Mua'lla, walk straight through the big halls where families of the deceased normally meet and continue walking straight ahead...

Hazrat Maulana RA's qabr is in lot 44.

When you reach there, one can walk across a very long slightly- raised wall (stoop) till you reach almost the end of the stoop.
You are now standing directly across the qabr number 60.

Hazrat Maulana’s qabr is number 57. There is NO number 57 written. There are 4 qabrs in each row.
Hazrat Maulana’s Qabr is the one closest to the stoop when you are standing across number 60.

The easiest thing to do is to ask any of the cleaners at the qabrastaan. Ask for Shaykh Yunus RA's qabr. They will willingly take you to the exact spot, Insha-Allah.
