Moulana Yunus Patel has passed away in Makkah Mukarramah

Recently in a dream I saw the respected Moulana Yunus Patel sahib (ra) and he was giving me fazail (virtues) of Madinah Munawwarah and finally the last thing he said is, "Madinah Tayyibah aaj bhi waysa hi hai jaysa Huzoor salallahu alayhi wa sallam ney usku chora tha" (Madinah Tayyibah today is still the same today as it was when Huzoor salallahu alayhi wa sallam left it)

Moulana here is indicating about the spirituality of Madinah Munawwarah, meaning that, even today people are able to derive spiritual benefit from it just as they did in the days of Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam.

Upon this I said to Moulana (ra), "I dedicate the following lines of poetry to Moulana Yunus Patel...Sheher e Mehboob hoga jahan bhi kaheen, ashiqoun ka suna hai wohi hai watan, phir Madinay ki lazzat ko mey kya kahoon, kaash hota Madinay mein meyra watan."

Maulana Muhammad Hashim Saheb DB mentioned during his Laylat al Ba'rah talk at Musjid Noor that during a past visit of Hazrath RA for Umrah he had seen Hazrath RA three times in a dream on the mimbar of Masjid Nabawi delivering a talk to thousands if not millions of people.

Ready for Death?

“Shouqe liqaa mein tere hu jaane dil se haazir
Sun ke payaam teraa hu jaane dil se haazir”

This is in relation to the Angel of death when he appears, the reciter is saying, “I was awaiting your arrival, I was ready and prepared.”

Are we ready? The readiness is in this life in whatever we’re doing and in all that we have and how we use it i.e. in the manner Allah ta’ala is pleased with. That is all. Simple. How beautiful and easy Islam is!

I have never heard of the esteemed brother before this thread, but given the outpouring of sincere shukr, grief and respect from all the brothers and sisters here - i cant but help make Dua for him, and am jealous that i never had the opportunity to meet him.

Wherever the city of the Beloved is,
I have heard that is the country of lovers.
Then what can be said of the pleasures of Madinah?
If only in Madinah was my country!

Bismihi Ta’ala

The following words of poetry were said in respect to Mufti Mahmood Hasan (RA) after his demise (and perhaps other Auliya Allah as well) – but which is also so very apt when considering Hazrat Maulana Yunus Patel (RA)’s life and the many, many sacrifices made in serving Deen and the Ummah at large:

“The surroundings of the beautiful garden will remember me for centuries,
For, before leaving, I nursed the buds with the blood of my heart.”

May Allah Ta’ala also use us in service of His Beautiful Deen and in serving the Creation, with that kind of Ikhlaas and that Maqbuliyat, and also grant such a noble death - in Madina Munawwarah or Makkah Mukarramah. Aameen.


…The consolation and comfort for those who had some connection with Hazrat Maulana (RA) is the beautiful Hadeeth of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam): “A Person will be with whom he loves.”

May Allah Ta’ala grant us that blessed companionship in the Hereafter as He blessed us with it, in this worldly life.
