The Sahihayn are just two books that gather the narrations with the most authentic chains, this does not mean they're the only books containing the Sihah and this is why for example al-Hakim al-Naysaburi wrote "al-Mustadrak 'ala al-Sahihayn" in which he gathers the authentic narrations that are not found in Bukhari & Muslim.

Al Mustadrak contains many daef ahadiths. Imam Dhahabi ra in his Talkhis of Al Mustadrak has pointed out and corrected many issues in it. The narrations of Mustadrak are mainly approved after Imam Dhahabi ra's verification.

I know but al-Hakim thought they were Sahih

also some people falsely believe that because a hadith is in bukhari or muslim then its the "highest grade" of being sahih and there cannot be a more sahih hadith than it..
