    سلام عليكم

For this kind of questions about the life of the Prophet (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ), there is an informative work by al-Maqrīzī (d. 845/1442) which brings together detailed information from various sources which is arranged neatly in easily accessible form:

تقي الدين أبو العباس أحمد بن علي المقريزي. إمتاع الأسماع بما للنبي صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ من الأحوال والأموال والحفدة والمتاع، تحقيق محمد عبد الحميد النميسي، ١٥ مجلدا، بيروت : دار الكتب العلمية، ١٩٩٩/١٤٢٠.‏

    Taqī al-Dīn Abū al-ʿAbbās Aḥmad b. ʿAlī al-Maqrīzī. Imtāʿ al-asmāʿ bi-mā lil-nabī ṣallā llāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam min al-aḥwāl wa-al-amwāl wa-al-ḥafada wa-al-matāʿ, ed. Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd al-Numaysī, 15 vols., Beirut: Dār al-Kutub al-ʿIlmiyya, 1420/1999.

The edition, in 15 volumes including the index, is well annotated with ample references. You will find answers to your questions in volume 7 of the edition.

    As salam.

Many thanks. But I can't read or understand Arabic. I have to rely on others for information.

    سلام عليكم

Sorry, brother, for not responding earlier. I had taken a month off forums (more or less).
Here one can only mention mounts and milch animals whose names have been preserved in the sources. I have excluded a couple of names mentioned rarely. There is more information about what the names mean and how some of the animals were acquired and events where some of them are mentioned.

    1. Animals used as mounts:

    a) camels
The name of the Prophet’s (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) she-camel was al-ʿAḍbāʾ, also known by the name of al-Qaṣwāʾ and al-Jadʿāʾ. These three names refer to the same animal.
There is a mention of another camel named ath-Thaʿlab

    b) horses:
The sources agree on the names of seven of the Prophet’s (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) horses. They are:

as-Sakb (This horse’s name under its previous owner was aḍ-Ḍarīs).
    al-Murtajiz
al-Laḥīf (also used diminutively as al-Luḥayf; there are also other variants of this name in the sources).
    al-Lizāz
    aẓ-Ẓarib
    al-Ward
    Sabḥa

There are fifteen or more other names of horses associated with the Prophet (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) mentioned in the sources. In some cases a name may be an additional name used as a laqab of a horse already mentioned, either in the list of seven above or the following list of horses. The names are:

    al-Ablaq
Dhū al-ʿUqqāl (also without geminate qāf: Dhū al-ʿUqāl).
    Dhū al-Limma
    al-Murtajil
    al-Mirwāḥ
    as-Sirḥān
    al-Yaʿsūb
    al-Yaʿbūb
    al-Baḥr
    al-Adham
    ash-Shaḥḥāʾ
    Mandūb/al-Mandūb
    as-Sijl
    Mulāwiḥ
    aṭ-Ṭirf
an-Najīb (aṭ-Ṭirf and an-Najīb apparently refer to al-Murtajiz mentioned in the list of seven above).

    c) mules and donkeys
The names of three mules and two donkeys, used as mounts, are found in the sources.
The three mules are: Duldul, Fiḍḍa and al-Ayliyya. The third mule is not generally mentioned by name in most sources, being described only as a gift submitted to the Prophet (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) from the ruler of Ayla. (Ayla here refers to ʿAqaba).
The two donkeys are: ʿUfayr and Yaʿfur.

    2. Milch animals

    a) camels

    al-Ḥinnāʾ
    as-Samrāʾ
    al-ʿArīs
    as-Saʿdiyya
    al-Baghūm
    al-Yasīra
ad-Dabbāʾ (also az-Zabbāʾ in some sources)
    Burda
    al-Ḥafada
    Muhra
    ash-Shaqrāʾ
    Mahriyya
    Marwa
    al-Yasūm

    b) sheep and goats

Two sheep: Ghawtha (also Ghaytha) and Qamar
    One goat: al-Yamin

Apart from these milch animals, there were seven manāʾiḥ goats. The term manāʾiḥ refers to milch animals, be they camels, sheep or goats, that are lent by their owner to another person who can milk them and use their milk for a term, usually until these animals cease to give milk. In this case the animals left with the Prophet (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) were goats. Their names are:

    ʿAjwa
    Zamzam
    Suqyā
    Baraka
    Warisa
    Iṭlāl
    Iṭrāf

I hope this answers your two questions.
    والسلام
