What does it mean to do istikharrah about bayah with a shaikh?

Just think to yourself, "Am I ready to sell myself to this person, surrender and fana my will and wish before his will and wish?"

If you answer yes then your istikharrah is positive answer, go forward with bayah. If you say no then don't do bayah.
