Du'aa at the time of Iftaar
Sayyidunā `Abdullāh ibn `Amr (Radiyallāhu Ta’ālā `anhu) narrates that I heard Nabi (Sallallāhu `alayhi wassalam) saying: A fasting person has an accepted du`ā (prayer) at the time of iftār (time when he breaks his fast).
It was the habit of Sayyidunā `Abdullāh ibn `Amr (Radiyallāhu Ta’ālā `anhu) to call his wife and children at the time of iftār and make du`ā.
Ibn Mulaykah (Rahimahullāh Ta’ālā) mentions that I heard Sayyidunā `Abdullāh ibn `Amr (Radiyallāhu Ta’ālā `anhu) making the following du`ā when he broke his fast:
Allahumma inni As-aluka Bi-Rahmati kallati Wasi`at Kulla Shai’in An Taghfirlee
O Allāh! I ask You through Your all encompassing mercy to forgive me
(Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr al-Baqarah 186 1/509)
One Should Recite Surah Yaseen After Fajr (22nd Para)
One Should Recite Surah Tabarak And Surah Sajdah Before Going Sleep (29th Para ) & ( 21st Para )Sayyiduna ibn Abbaas (Radhiallaahu Anhu) says, 'Whoever recites Yaaseen in the morning, his work for that entire day will be made easy and whoever recites in at the end of the day, his tasks till the next morning will be made easy.' (Sunan Daarimi vol.2 pg.549)
Hazrat Jabir radiyallahu anhu narrates that the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam would not retire to bed until he had read Alif Laam Tanzeel and Surah Tabaarak. One Should Leave Time Before Sehri Ends To Perform Tahajjud ( In The Form Of How Many Rakaats One Wishes To Pray )Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu reported Allah Ta’ala’s Messenger sallallahu alaihe wasallam as saying, "A Surah in the Qur’aan containing thirty verses interceded for a man till his sins were forgiven. It was Tabaarakallazi Biyadihil Mulk."
