    Default home schooling?

    salam,

I'm new to the idea of home schooling my kids. I just want to hear from parents who have taken this route and what their experience of it is.

    JazkhAllah Khair

Haven't taken it but soon Insha'Allah.

I think it's better than sending them to school. You can teach them much more beneficial things in the same time than in the school. Also, it saves children from bad company.

    BUT

Those who oppose it, they say that children don't develop communication skills and the confidence to deal with people.

^^ I would disagree with those who oppose it. I've been homeschooled myself, and never had any problem communicating with others.

Plus, you save up a lot of time. Although I only did high-school from home, I managed to complete grade 7-12 in less than two years; during this time I would also teach maktab along with my mother. I also know many children who are homeschooled, and they manage to complete their work in less time than one in normal school.

But it also depends on the child and the parents. Both parties have to be dedicated.

how does this home schooling goes?
Is that children study in their homes and appear in the school just for their exams?

They can go for exams if you have connections otherwise no schools/no exams. It's like doing private A/O levels.

Is there any proven to work curriculum (where both religious and positive sciences are included in the program)?
