Ruling on shaving underarm hair and pubic hair

What I've read at different places, you can divide your body hair into 3 categories:

1. Have to remove/trim (mustache, armpits, pubic hair).

2. Cannot remove (beard).

3. Your own discretion (everywhere else).

What you're asking comes under the 3rd category and it's upto whether you want to remove those hair or not.

Yes you have to remove those hairs. I would suggest shaving them.

You will get used to doing it comfortable or no.

this is something a muslim, must do, he has no choice in the matter.

You can use a regular razor or you can get a cheap-medium quality electric beard trimmer and it will do the trick down there (more convenient if it's a cordless one). Of course you have to keep that trimmer dedicated for areas below your neck and clean it well with alcohol after each use.

I don't know how old you are, but I started doing this in my teen years after being advised from a friend to do so during a conversation about 'hygiene'. Before that, I was very 'uncomfortable' with the idea as well, as you put it, but once I started doing it, there was no turning back.

Even if not for Islam (which is the #1 reason we do it), it is just ultra-hygienic and clean to do so. Trust me!
