Which law of the Sharia commands us to follow Saudi Arabia? Is there a specific injunction in the Shariah that states that due to the Haramain Sharifayn being in Jazeeratul Islam (aka Saudi Arabia) that we need to unite upon their sighting? If so please let me know.

The unity of the Ummah needs to be established first on the Shariah before anyother sentimental thoughts. There is no need for us to have unity on this issue. Different sighitngs have never been an issue of unity. In fact it is an established Shari principle.

Brother, I understand your wish however there are far greater issues that the Muslims need to unite on. In fact we are commanded to establish unity and brotherhood through Hukoomatul Islam. With this done Insha'Allah unity will be natural consequence.

Why should the majority follow the minority? Saudi Arabia has rejected reports of moon sighting from African countries before. So, why should we follow Saudi Arabia, whose moon sighting is doubtful at best?
