Abdullah Ibn Umar narrates that Rasulullah said: No slave has swallowed back anything more excellent in the sight of Allah the Almighty and Majestic than the anger he swallows, seeking only the pleasure of Allah.

    (Musnad Ahmad)

Anas Ibn Malik narrates that Rasulullah said: He who guards his tongue, Allah conceals his faults. Whoever restrains his anger, Allah will restrain his punishment from him on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever apologizes to Allah the Almighty and Majestic, He accepts his excuse.

'Swallowing anger' is one of the characters of a true Believer. The tafseer of this ayah is discussed in one of Nouman Ali Khan's video.

It must be based on this ayat that Umar Al Farooq said:
"For a servant of God, there is nothing sweeter than the swallowing of his own anger. Neither milk nor honey can be compared to it."

    Ameen.

Here is the video of the tafseer of the Ayahs, it describes the characters of people of Jannah:

Br. Nouman Ali Khan discusses Ayahs 133-136 of Surah Ale 'Imran, where Allah describes the ones who have attained the Ultimate reward: Jannah. This is the 5th of 30 lectures presented by Br. Nouman after Taraweeh every night during Ramadan 2007.
