Well i am the right person,I was first shia then sunni then muslim as per Quran va Sunnah...wt you want to know?
But i am not agree with your Shia to Sunni Islam..
Both are firqa of islam. If you want to come from shia islam to sunni islam then no need to revert.Stay in Shia islam...
Islam is Islam,it has no firqa,it has no branch, peoples belongs to islam are only called as Muslim. So you have to say you want to be a muslim now.

I suggest Kitab alTawheed by Sheikh Muhammad Bin AbdulWahhab, and its commentary by Sheikh Bin Uthaymain. Also Siffat Salat alNabi, by Sheikh Nasirudeen alAlbani; for monotheism and salat respectively. Tafsir al Qur'an by Ibn Katheer is a great commentary on the Qur'an... for starters, but don't limit yourself. AlKaba'ir (The Major Sins), by Imam alDahabi is a good book. You may also go through Bulugh almaram for ahadith concerning the necessary actions in Islam. If you like history, Ibn Katheer's Bidaya wal nihaya is fantastic. Also try to read books by Sheikh Ibn Taimiyyah, such as Majmoo'at al fatawa, for various issues of jurispudence. Above all, keep in mind that Islam was sent to us via a messenger, therefore, the acid test for the ahl al sunnah in understanding Islam, is always... 'provide us with your proof if you are truthful'. proof here being a verse of the Qur'an, or an authentic hadith.
O Allah kay wali..You did not say for one time about Quranic study.First study Quran thoroughly with its translation. First make your aqeeda according to Quran then study further about any book.

You were a Sunni? Or were you simply a non-Shi'a for a bit? Do you even know what a Sunni is? A Sunni is a person who follows the Qur'an and Sunnah. Even the term "Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah" is mentioned in the aathaar. To be a non-Sunni is to be at least a mubtadi'.

My point is why to call sunni yourself. Nabi pak S.A.W was not a sunni, Hazrat Abu Bakkar R.A was not a sunni. They called themselves only Musliman. Sunni is just a firqa against Shia.

Are the moderator sleeping. With post like Abuamam, confusion is not far behind.
Asking a laymen to understand proof is nothing more then suffering from delusion of grandeur. I wonder if the Abuamam even understand arabic!!

Nomadic my brother, our deen is a simple one. Do not complicate it. I did not say that the enquirer should become a grand mufti based on my advice. However, with the kind of conflicting madhab rulings that the enquirer is likely to be bombarded with on the most basic acts of Ibadah, it is necessary that the Qur'an and Hadith be used as the basic criteria for comparison.
Oh, and I am a very fluent Arabic speaker, no boasts intended. I also believe that a difference of opinion or understanding should not mean that we behave in an uncivil manner. Jazakum Allah Khayran.

I believe that I clearly mentioned Tafsir al Qur'an by Imam Ibn Katheer, and adviced that the enquirer not limit herself to this, but should peruse other tafasir. Understanding Islam is obviously impossible without a study of the Qur'an.

6:159 As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah. He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.
