Default ANSWERED: names of Rasullulah sallalahu alayhi wa salam

as salamu alaykum, on sunnipath i was reading something about the names of Prophet Muhammas sallallahu alayhi wa salam and something doesn't seem right.

names like al Haqq and al Rahim are names of Allah subhanahu wa Ta'ala right, on this article on sunnipath these and other names INCLUDING the 'al' prefix are listed as names of Rasullulah. whats up with that??????

the names listed as names of Rasullulah sallallahu alayhi wa salam that are names of Allah subhanahu wa Ta'ala are

    al Haqq
    al Rahim
    al Karim
    al Aziz
    al Nur
    al Hadi
    al Wali
    al Mu'min

it also lists the letters that some surahs start out with as names of Rasullullah

some of these names are not specific for Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Rasoolullah Sallallahu `alyhi wa Sallam referred to Sayyidina Yusuf `alyhissalam as "the Karim".

‏إن الكريم ابن الكريم ابن الكريم ابن الكريم يوسف بن يعقوب بن إسحق بن إبراهيم صلى الله عليه وسلم أجمعين

I remember a few years back looking through a book titled "The 99 Names of Prophet Muhammad"

There is a definite form of Allahs attributes as well as a indefinite form. No creation may be referred to using the definite form, ie. "ar-Raheem" (the Most Merciful) but using the indefinite form ("Raheem") is permissable, as Allah has used it referring to the Prophet(saw):

"A messenger has come to you from among yourselves to whom anything which burdens you is grievous. He is full of concern for you and is full of pity (Ra'oof) and full of mercy (Raheem)". 9:128.

so you cant call him "ar-raheem" as Allah alone is the MOST merciful, but he can be full of mercy. I got this from a Tawheed book, and I cant find it at the moment to name it, but I found it very helpful.

any of the scholars can correct me where I am wrong....

It is perfectly permissible to call Nabi (sallallahu Alaihi wasallam) al-Kareem, al-Rahim etc.
These are from amongst his names as mentioned byt he ulema eg. Allamah Sakhawi in al-Qawl al-Baliq.
One would not look at whether it contains "al" or not, but rather at the meaning. al-Karim simply means the noble, which could be a quality of a creation, thus using it for one would be permissible.
    And Allah Ta'ala knows best

To add to this, I asked Shaykh Gibril about his reply and he stated:

It is agreed upon on the part of the scholars who wrote on the
    Prophetic names cf. al-Suyuti in al-Riyad al-Aniqa, al-Qastallani in
the Mawahib, al-Zurqani in its Sharh, and al-Nabhani.
