Want to know how many times the word Rahman occurs in the Quran. It is easy. In Access 2007 import the corpus data, Select the "LEM:r~aHoma`n" , copy it, again select and right click, from drop down go to Text Filter, Select Contain, paste the text, click OK. You will get 57 occurrences.

Analyzing Quranic Arabic Corpus morphological data based on word ROOT is easy. For example if you want to filter all the Words based on the ROOT:wqy (whose derivatives are muttaqeen, taqwa, waq etc) just copy the ROOT:wqy in MS Access 2007, right-click the mouse and select Text Filter > Contains > paste > OK. You will get all the 258 occurences of words with this root.

Have you ever thought of Dual nouns and adjectives of the Quran? It is easy to extract them from Quranic Arabic Corpus morphological data. First Filter the Nouns and Adjectives then Filter Features Column for Dual. There are as many as 237 Dual N/Adj forms. Duals are usually formed by adding the suffix Alif-Noon or Ya-Noon. Here are some of the Examples.

    وَالِدَيْنِ Parents 2:83
    الْمَلَكَيْنِ Two Angels 2:102
    مُسْلِمَيْنِ Two Muslims 2:128

    عَقِبَيْهِ His Two heels 2:143
This word was originally عقبين When made possessive (case) to any noun or pronoun, the final Noon is dropped from the Duals.. So Aqibain + hi =Aqibaihi

    يَوْمَيْنِ Two days 2:203
    مَرَّتَانِ Twice 2:229
