It is improbable that the name means intellect or understanding because -- as far as I know, and Allah knows best -- dhal, ha and nun together are not placed on the scale of if`al. So I believe it cannot be from dhihn [mind; intellect]. Unless the word is not "Izhaan"? Perhaps it would be easier if khan_tk informs us of how the name is written.
Furthermore, it should be kept in mind that if you want a good Islamic name, then the best place to start would be the Prophets, then their pious relatives and then the Sahaba. There are many names one can find among their names that are "unique" per laymen standards. Another thing is that before you name someone, you should consult scholars and inform them of your choices. Some scholars have expressed much regret in their writings over the errors and lack of attention paid in their non-Arab countries -- such as the Shaykhs `Ashiq Ilahi al-Bulandshahri and Muhammad Yunus al-Palanpuri -- with regard to naming their children. I, myself, have met quite a few people from the Indian subcontinent who have erroneous names like "Istikhar," "Tanzila" (ending with alif), etc.
