Default Islamic Education in Sydney NSW

    Selamun Aleykum to all,

This is my first time here on sunniforum. Insha Allah I will be able find an answer to my question.

I am researching private school options for my child for 2012. We have received an acceptance letter from Al Almanah College in Liverpool but i'm not hearing the good things about the school and that it is a Habashi school.

Also that they are opening a new school called Al Salamah college in Chester Hill and that the property was purchased by the president of the Muslim Community Radio who is a Habashi. Can anyone tell me what Habashi is and if their teachings are different to Sunni? Does anyone know if this school or any other islamic schools in NSW are Habashi?

Any concerned parent would like to know if their children is getting a good Islamic education and if their teachers will guide them corrrectly.

Only Allah knows what is best, may Allah guide us all on the right path and allow us to bring up our children as good Muslims who will be a valuable part of the community.

    Thanks in advance for responses.
    Layla.

    Alhumdulillah wassalam ^ala rosoolillah
Al Amanah College is a excellent school. I have many relatives who actually placed their children in there and they are really happy with the outcomes.

The committee in charge of the Al Amanah AND Salamah are all from Ahlusunnah WalJama^ah and strictly teach the children of the Qur'an and sunnah. this is coming from personal experiences. My own son who starts school very soon is going to be enrolled there insha'Allah and i am so excited for that.

For some reason (personal agendas probably), there are people out there that are bagging these schools out. I find this so strange as they are Islamic Schools, giving the children pure islamic knowledge AND the education when it comes to Maths, English and so on. A girl last year who was enrolled in Al Amanah College received 99.2% in her HSC!! That was just one of the students.

If you care for your childs future in this life and the next, RUSH and place them in the school, believe me!!
