Sahabah رضي الله عنهم would cling fast to the Sunnah, on account of it being Sunnah, while we discard the Sunnah, on account of it being (just) Sunnah!

Since Umrah season is starting soon InshaAllah and we have a wealth of knowledge on this forum regarding this issue Alhamdolillah, Mufti Saheb (and others) can you please list a couple of places in Makkah and Madina that you know are ok to eat at?
Dal roti khao... prabhu ke gun gao...
Sustain with dal roti, and make Allah (s.w.t) happy![]()

Slm3lekm..I know of 'At taazaaj iN Makkah..they use only wataniyya chickens..also in Makkah,in the Abraj Al Bait mall in the food court is a resturant by the name of 'Charlies' ..if you ask the people that are working there about the place where they buy their chickens, they say its locally slaughtered and they will wven bring the meat packs to prove this to you...on many occasions, the people who are working at the different resturants lie to a person..that is why it is so important to request them to prove to you what they are claiming...maY Allah swt guide the ummah..
I thought mecca/madina was the last place a muslim had to worry about these things, and it seems that the saudis are meant to care about the people considering the abraj al bait development etc...

Is the beef in Saudi doubtful as well, or can we eat it safely?

It depends on where you are buying it from.
beef available in the local beef market, where locally slaughtered beef is available is safe. some shops do sell beef from Pakistan which is considered to be slaughtered according to rules.
If you are talking about beef available in hotels.........., its a different issue altogether.
may Allah guide us all.

salaaam,
To all those concerned.
I am from madinah and i will make a list of the restaurant that i know of which are watani.
Raawis restuarant. This is opposite Albaik, cross the road and a few minute walk. Green sign board.
Atbaak/At-tabbaak- This is on Shuhada Uhud road
Taibah- Shuhada Uhud road
Mat'am Sahr- if you pass Hilton hotel and get to the Haram ring road, you will come across some road works. look towards your left and you will see a line of restaurants. Look for Mat'am Sahr on your extreme left. Yellow sign board with red writing.
New Madinah restaurant- Sultanah road.
Al-taazaj
These are those that i am aware of, there maybe others, wal 'ilmu 'indallah.
Alternatively, there is this couple from south africa who prepare watani food for those who wish. Their food is apperantly quite dear though, as far as i have heard.
Finally, if you would like more info, then please dont hesitate to contact me.
