    Default Locked Threads

    As Salaamu Alaykum,

As you all may be aware, the Islam Questions and Answers section has temporarily closed due to the pile of questions that need attention.

Therefore, a great effort is being made to answer as many questions as possible in as short a time as possible.

During the next few weeks, threads will be answered, locked and moved to the "Answered" sub-section.

If anyone needs a clarification on an answered question and needs to post on a thread please contact the me or any other moderator who will then judge whether the query is justified and whether the thread should be re-opened.

Or, a post can be made in this thread with the link to the thread that would like to be opened and a short description of what clarification is required.

    Jazakallah.

Merged your thread into this one. Please give the link to the thread you wish to have re-open and Insha-Allah, one of the sunniforum.com Scholars will look into it.

    As Salaamu Alaykum,

My mistake. I have re-opened the thread and have moved it back to the Q&A thread.

As a further note, Brother Mossy has allowed Authors of a post on a thread that is in the Answered section of the Q&A section. Therefore, from now on, if there are any queries or further points that need to be discussed by the author it will be possible.

    Wasalaam.

Default Regarding the topic: ANSWERED: Actors getting married and divorced unintentionally?

I couldnt open a thread in the forum "islam q&a" so i'll just post it here.

I had one more question regarding that topic (just to be sure):

ANSWERED: Actors getting married and divorced unintentionally?
    http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...6&page=1&pp=10

Does the verdict apply only to those who wish to follow the hanafi fiqh? Is the marriage invalid without the approval or presence of the wali of the girl?
And if he were to ask for a gentle lady in marriage, he would be refused, and when he leaves the world it does not miss him, and if he goes out, his going out is not noticed, and if he falls sick, he is not attended to, and if he dies, he is not accompanied to his grave.

The thread is closed which is why you cannot post in it.

I also wanted to make a point.

    As Salaamu Alaykum,

The name is not a requirement as such. Furthermore, the name is not always in the context... It is usually "marry me" or "I marry you" etc.

It should be noted that the tense is important when it comes to validity of the Nikaah.

    And Allah Knows Best.

Regardless of whether the name is needed or not, ones intention and words would be directed towards the character the person is playing and not the actual person, so I do not see how the marriage is valid.

The 'I' here would not be the actor but the character.
‘Good and evil can never be equal. Repel (evil) with that which is better, and see how, then, someone between whom and you was enmity shall become a true friend. Yet none is given such goodness except those who are patient; none is given this but the most fortunate.’
