Anyways, lets move on. If one studies the history of the Muslims specifically their rise and decline, one will observe a common trend which lead to the rise and decline. The Abbassids, Andalusians, Ottomans, Mughals etc. What was the trend?

After the Mughal Empire collapsed, Islam and Muslims were on the verge of extinction from the Subcontinent.

    Allamah Iqbal said:
"....it will happen exactly like it happened in Andalusia (Spain) after eight hundred years of Muslim rule there. Today, except the relics of the ruins of Grenada and Cordoba and Al-Hamra, no trace is found there of the followers of Islam, and the Islamic civilisation. In India, too, save the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort of Delhi, no trace of the Muslims’ 800-year rule and their civilisation will be available.”

What lead to the rise of the Ummah?

Rustam addressed Rib'ee bin Amir saying, 'What brings you here?" "Allah has sent us," Rib'ee ibn Amir replied, "Allah has sent us to remove whoever He wills from servitude to man and to lead him to the servitude of Allah. Allah has sent us to remove them from the narrowness of this world towards its vastness and from the oppression of other religions towards the justice of Islam ..."

Rib'ee ibn Amir so profoundly stated the purpose of the Muslim Ummah. The Muslim conquests of the first Hijri century were marked by this purpose. With this purpose Tariq ibn Ziyad and his army set foot in Andalus. Europe was beginning to see the light of the day.

    Opportunity Lost

But the Muslims soon turned insular. They shut themselves from Europe and became a closed community. The Muslims were in Europe for 8 Centuries but the contact with Christian Europe was minimal and limited.

The Roman Church continued to the oppress the Masses on a large scale but the Moors failed in advancing the message of Islam to the larger part of the continent. The Christian masses were oppressed in the name of GOD. This caused the masses to fear and hate GOD. The seeds of secularism and atheism were sown. And slowly it started to grow and the time came when it bore the bitter fruit.

When the Muslims reached Europe, the Romans seeked revenge. The wounds of the bitter defeat in the Old Byzantine Empire were still afresh in the minds of the Roman Catholics. They sensed they same defeat in Europe. First, they united the whole of Europe against the Muslims for the cause of liberating the Holy Lands ie. The Crusades. Second, they started a defamation campaign against the Last Prophet of Allah . He was vilified and demonified all over Europe. What lies were propagated against him . The Europeans still express the same sentiments to this day. But, the Moors turned insular and could not combat these lies and fabrications. They were cut off from Europe

What happened is what we know as history. The continent was wiped out of Muslims and Islam.

Today, we face the same challenges. Either give your best for the sake of propagating the message of Allah, or face the same fate as the Moors. You'll be wiped out. And the whole world will again plunge into total darkness eventually leading to it's destrucion

There were banking families like the Medicis as long ago as the Renaissance and they got very rich and powerful, but in the Middle ages only Jews were allowed to give interest loans in some European countries.
