However, I don't know where he resides, I don't even have the slightest clue, I will ask some people about his whereabouts and see if I come up with anything.

The person whom I gave baya'a isn't a known person, however the grandshaykh of our tariqa is Sheikh Shamil from Chechnya, and after him, his groom Sheikh Sherafeddin. The living sheikh at the moment was a student of Sheikh Sherafeddin's student, and his name was Ihsan Tamguney, but he was known as Sultan Baba and he was well known in the religious circles, as he was one of the last supporters of the Ahla Sunnah in Turkey, and due to his and some other shuyukh efforts, Islam in Turkey hasn't been destroyed, but after he passed away (may Allah be pleased with him), the tariqa became less known because of the events occurred at february 28.

And about questions regarding Islam in Turkey, I think brother Verdana is more knowledgeable, although I don't think he is Turkish I read some of his threads, they were very informative, you may try to contact him about this particular topic.

Mashallah brother ahmed. The unknown people are the best people in this day and age brother. Please share more about your shaykh, tariqa, practices and history. Imam shamil is amongst my favourite people.

Brother, since divine wisdom has made it such that my Shaykh isn't known as much as he deserves to be, I'll keep to myself as well. However, Sheikh Sherafeddin(qs) had ijazah from 4 tariqs, yet he found Naqshibandiyya and Qadiriyya more suitable I guess, so our tariqa has elements of both of these ways, as such, we do loud and silent dhikr both.

ahmetbaba could you tell us about the azkaar of your silsila and the method of taleem. i.e. Where does your shaykh hold circles, the zawiyas, do you guys practice khalwa etc. Bro even though your shaykh maybe a hidden person there is no harm in mentioning who he is and his details inshallah.

The silsila goes to Khalid Baghdadi(qs), and as I said, after the events of Feb 28, 1998 in Turkey, these types of meetings to the public have been diminished tremendously. Zawiyas are prohibited in Turkey, and about khalwa, I haven't done it yet, I don't know if the other mureeds do it, I have no knowledge. And as I said, my current Shaykhs teacher was Ihsan Tamguney, you may find some information about him online. His son was one of the people in the "Mavi Marmara", his sons name is Huseyin Tamguney. My shaykhs name is Bilge, and it means wise or a scholar in Turkish.

Please provide the spiritual lineage of your shaykh in this thread.

The real foundation of any Islamic movement is its spirituality. If the spiritual base gets
corrupted, the whole movement will collapse sooner or later.

Does your shaykh have any mureed or deputy in Germany ? If so , I would like to meet them, since I live in Germany.

In Turkey only Kurds follow Shafii madhab. They are mostly live in South-East of Turkey. In Istanbul as far as i know there is not any Shafii scholar. In Turkey there is Ministry of Religious Affairs. All imams obey this ministry and most of them are Hanafis.
